Sector services provided to companies increased 3.31% in December of 2024

In December of 2024, the Sector Services Provided to Companies increased by 3.31%, compared to the same month of the last year, explained by the growth of its four components. This was informed by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) in the technical report Monthly Survey of Services.
The INEI also stated that during the year 2024, this economic sector accumulated a growth of 3.58%, compared to the year 2023.


Professional, scientific and technical activities grew 3.55%
During the month under analysis, the professional, scientific and technical activities grew 3.55% explained by the architecture and engineering activities and related activities of technical advice, with projects of civil engineering, mining and construction and maintenance of telecommunication networks and services of engineering in energy, gas and sanitation.
The essays and technical analysis grew due to the following services: inspection, analysis, laboratory tests and certification of consumer goods, agriculture, mining, minerals, metals and material products. The activities of consultancy of business management were favoured by services of business consulting, consultancy in digital transformation, innovation in the organization, opportunities of investment and financing for MYPES and PYMES.
Likewise, the legal activities expanded by legal cases in litigations and arbitrations, consulting in the constitution of companies, mergers and acquisitions, and notarial services. Likewise, the accounting activities increased due to the greater demand of outsourcing services, auditing, accounting advice, preparation of financial reports, management of corporate treasury and financial risks.


Travel agencies and tour operators’ activities increased by 17.17%
During the last month of the year 2024, the activities of travel agencies and tour operators increased by 17.17%, due to the dynamism of travel agencies, as a result of the diversification of offers and modality of online sale, marketing strategies, promotions of tourist packages, flights, insurances, reservations services, accommodation and tours, before the growing arrival of foreign tourists due to end of the year celebrations, vacation season, travel incentives and business, and family visits.
Likewise, the tourist operators showed a positive trend associated to the demand of mountain tours, trekking, adventure trips, customized tours, school graduation trips, Christmas festivities and family trips.


Activities of administrative and support services grew by 1.38%
During December of 2024, the activities of administrative and support services increased by 1.38%, due to the activities of telephone exchanges that showed a positive trend due to call center services and telemarketing services, before the increase of the client portfolio for Christmas and end of the year campaigns.
In addition, the organization of conventions and trade fairs grew due to the demand of corporative events and international congresses. As well as, the activities of rental and operational leasing with the consequent growth of the rental of machinery, equipment and tangible goods for the execution of mining projects, progress of public works, construction of buildings, among the main ones.


Advertising and market research sector increased 3.82% due to Christmas campaign
During December of 2024, the advertising and market research showed an increase of 3.82%, mainly due to the advertising branch, due to Christmas and end of the year campaign, spring-summer season and events such as Black Friday and Cyber Days.
Likewise, the online advertising and social networks promoted the loyalty and consumption of clients; the advertising in advertising panels, advertising signs and announcements in street furniture also increased by end of the year; also, of streaming platforms (YouTube, Twitch and Kick) and social networks (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), that strengthen the digital marketing.
The marketing research and performance of surveys of public opinion grew in response of the greater demand of market studies, assessment and preferences of the consumer, surveys of public opinion in politic, economy and security, studies of competence and services of measurement of the impact of advertising campaigns.
