Chief of the INEI is member of the Peruvian delegation that is presented before the Committee of United Nations in Geneva

Between 4 to 5 December of the current year, in the city of Geneva – Switzerland, the chief of National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), Gaspar Morán Flores, participates in the sustainability of the second periodic report of Peru before the Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families (CMW) of the United Nations.
During the sessions, the chief of the INEI will answer to the strengthening of the of the system of migratory statistics in the las three years, according to sex, age, migratory condition, among others, having in account the volume and the nature of migratory currents. In addition, the related with the remittances received of the nationals of the State that works abroad.
In addition, will offer relevant information detailing the situation, above all, of the migratory workers and families in irregular situation, boys, girls’ migrants unaccompanied and separated from their parents, both in Peru and Peruvians abroad; disaggregated by sex, age and migratory condition; among other subjects.
It is worth to mention that the delegation of Peruvian State, is integrated by the representants of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (MINJUS), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) and the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (RENIEC); as well as, the members of the Permanent Mission of Peru before the United Nations in Geneve, responsible of the implementation of the International Convention about the protection of rights of all the migratory workers and their families (CMW).
This result was based in the imported amount of consumption goods, by totalizing US$ 1,170 million, a higher figure in 14.17%, compared to the value registered in the same month of 2023. The import of capital goods and construction materials totalized US$ 1 527 million and showed an increase of 12.16% compared to October of the last year. On the other hand, the import of raw materials and intermediate products totalized US$ 2,374 million, decreasing in 5.16%, compared to the value obtained in October of 2023.
