In August 2024, sector services provided to companies registered an increase of 4.27% compared to the same month of the last year, explained by the positive evolution of its four components.


With the result of August 2024, the sector registered nine months of continuous growth and so far, this year accumulates an increase of 3.41%.


Professional, scientific and technical activities registered a progress of 2.94%
The area of professional, scientific and technical activities increased 2.94%, boosted by the architectural and engineering activities, before new engineering projects, fulfillment of milestones, tenders, start of construction works, tenders, start of construction works, architecture designs, monitoring and monitoring of projects.


Essays and technical analysis grew due to services of inspection, monitoring and environmental essays, physical and chemical analysis of minerals, metals and rocks and certification of agricultural products.
Activities of management consultancy activities expanded by the increase of business projects, management consulting, development of strategies, operational improvement, organizational transformation, marketing and sales solutions.


In addition, legal activities increased by the management of legal proceedings, procurement services and administrative procedures, legal advice in the civil, criminal, administrative, corporative and of public law area. Likewise, accounting activities grew due to the greater acquisition of customers for accounting services, preparation of financial statements, tax returns, transactions, liquidations, spreadsheets updates and financial audits.


Increasing tourist arrivals boosted travel agencies and tour operator activities
Travel agencies and tour operators expanded in 45.22%, due to the dynamism of travel agencies, before the increase of the arrival of tourists, mainly from Chile, United States, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil and Colombia. Positively influenced the promotion of touristic packages and of national and international flights, and the perform of polls at local level performance of events such as the International Fair of Arequipa - FIA, Feast of Mother Earth - Pachamama Raymi in Cusco, Fair of 241 Anniversary of Tarapoto, Fan Fest 2024 in the Magical Water Circuit and the Agricultural, artisanal and gastronomic Fair, in the region of Huanuco; in addition, the increase of services of cruises, reservation of hotel and transportation.


At the same time, the tour operators had more activity by the festivities at national level, greater flow of national and foreign tourists, visits to historic centers, city tours, excursions, adventure tours, ecotourism, gastronomic tourism and entertainment.


Activities of administrative services increased 2.17%
In August of 2024, the activities of administrative and support services registered a growth of 2.17%, due to the increase of rent and operating lease of other types of machines, equipment and tangible goods, due to the start of projects, lease contracts and more work fronts.

Likewise, the activities of telephone exchanges grew due to the services of customer service and telemarketing; activities of private security were influenced by the renovation of contracts with public and private institutions, surveillance services, protection and carriage of valued; security systems had more demand in antitheft alarm systems, surveillance cameras and electronic surveillance systems.


Likewise, the general cleaning of buildings grew due to the new contracts in integral building maintenance, offices, homes and hospital, administrative and industrial environments.


Investment and campaign management boosted advertising and market research driven
Advertising and market research registered an increase of 4.98%, due to the positive performance of the advertising area, due to the investment and management of campaigns of digital advertising due to the launching of advertisement in mobile devices, promotions of products and trade markets, advertising in social networks and marketing of influencers. The same behavior showed the market research, due to the development of market studies, quantitative and qualitative research projects, sampling service, field research and performance of surveys and polls at local and regional level, in social, economic and politic subjects.
