This research explores the differentiated exposure of the Peruvian employment to two technological patterns: the traditional automatization and the generative artificial intelligence. There were developed two technological exposure indexes applied to the occupations of the National Classifier of Occupations, allowing to quantify the magnitude of each type of exposition, characterizing the most vulnerable labour profiles, and exploring the contextual factors that acts as barriers and facilitators for the effective adoption of technologies.
Likewise, a mixed methodology was used, this one combined the quantitative analysis of the data base of the National Household Survey – ENAHO corresponding to the year 2024, and complemented with a qualitative analysis based in-depth interviews that allow to explore the perceptions and adaptation strategies of different occupational groups.
The study had been prepared by the Researcher, Walter Omar Manky Bonilla, Ph.D. and M.A. in Labour Relations by Cornell University (EE.UU.) and licensed in Sociology by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, currently working as teacher and researcher in the Universidad del Pacifico.
