Chef Gastón Acurio presented best Peruvian food in Thailand

Gastón Acurio, the well-known Peruvian chef, presented in Bangkok the most emblematic dishes of Peruvian cuisine for the public during 16 - 19 May. The activity was organized by Mandarin Oriental Hotel of Bangkok with the support of the Embassy of Peru.
On Wednesday 16, there was a special presentation for the press. On Thursday 17, Friday 18, and Saturday 19, Lord Jim’s Hall was filled by the public who enjoyed a special menu prepared by Acurio for this occasion with preeminence of marine products.
Among the public figures who attended this important gastronomic activity were: Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs and spouse; Grisada Boonrach, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives; Veerathai Santiprabhob, Governor of the Bank of Thailand; Kalin Sarasin, President of the Thai Chamber of commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand; Bhurit Bhirombhakdi, CEO of Boon Rawd Brewery; Chumpol Jangprai, famous Thai chef and spouse; Sarun Charoensuwan, Director-General of the Department of America and South Pacific Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and spouse; Prasert Prakoonsuksapan, Former Senator and Former President of the Thailand-Peru Parliamentary Friendship League; the honorary consuls of Peru in Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen; ambassadors and officials of accredited embassies in Bangkok; officials of international organizations; Thai companies; members of the Peruvian community in Thailand, etc.
The presence in Bangkok of the outstanding chef Gastón Acurio has coincided with the public announcement of a new award for him: "The Dinners Club Lifetime Achievement Award 2018", important global award which annually recognizes the professional path of the most outstanding chefs in the world. This new recognition will be awarded by the World's 50 Best Restaurants group in a special ceremony on June in Bilbao, Spain, occasion in which will also be rewarded the 50 restaurants in the world 2018.
