Temporary ban on all international flights to Thailand (No. 4)

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has issued its fourth notification extending a ban on international passenger flights to Thailand for another month.
CAAT explains the need to continue measures against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in order to effectively prevent and control the spread of the virus.
According to this notification issued on 27 April 2020, the ban will be extended from 1 May 2020, at 00.01 hr to 31 May 2020, at 23.59 hr. All flight permits granted for that period will be canceled.
CAAT allows exceptions for landings of the following aircraft:
1) State or military aircraft;
2) Emergency landing;
3) Technical landing without passenger disembarkation;
4) Humanitarian aid, medical, and relief flights;
5) Repatriation flights;
6) Cargo aircraft.
Passengers disembarking on the above flights will be subject to communicable disease control measures, such as 14-day state quarantine, and regulations under Section 9 of the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situations B.E. 2548 (2005).
In the previous notification issued on 15 April 2020, the ban was extended from 19 April 2020, at 00.01 hr (18 April 2020 at 17.00 UTC) to 30 April 2020 at 23.59 hr (30 April 2020 at 17.00 UTC).
Meanwhile, the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration on 27 April 2020 reported nine new COVID-19 cases in Thailand, raising the number of confirmed cases to 2,931. Out of the number of confirmed cases, 2,609 have been cured; 270 are still hospitalized, and 52 have died.
