Plaza Chabuca Granda
En la Plazuela encontramos al Monumento a Chabuca Granda, en honor a la reconocida letrista y cantante de música criolla y afroperuana, Chabuca Granda. Este conjunto escultórico consta de dos figuras: una de Chabuca Granda y otra de José Antonio Lavalle, un chalán que, según la tradición, fue inspiración para su célebre composición "José Antonio". Chabuca Granda, quien adoptó Lima como su ciudad natal, pasó parte de su infancia en un rancho ubicado en la Bajada de los Baños en Barranco, lo que refuerza su vínculo con este emblemático distrito. En reconocimiento a su legado como ícono cultural del distrito, el municipio de Barranco decidió erigir una escultura en su honor. La obra, tallada en piedra por el escultor ayacuchano Fausto Jaulis, fue inaugurada el 24 de octubre de 1992 en la Plazuela Chabuca Granda, cerca del Puente de los Suspiros. Adyacente a ella, se encuentra el monumento al chalán José Antonio Lavalle, quien inspiró la famosa composición de la artista.

In the Plazuela we find the Monument to Chabuca Granda, in honor of the renowned lyricist and singer of Creole and Afro-Peruvian music, Chabuca Granda.

This sculptural group consists of two figures: one of Chabuca Granda and the other of José Antonio Lavalle, a chalán that, according to tradition, was the inspiration for his famous composition "José Antonio". Chabuca Granda, who adopted Lima as her hometown, spent part of her childhood on a ranch located in the Bajada de los Baños in Barranco, which reinforces her bond with this emblematic district.
