At the 9th International Specialty Coffee Fair – FICAFÉ Amazonas 2025, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI) reinforces its commitment to sustainable agricultural production by participating with an information stand and hands-on activities to promote compliance with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
As a key innovation, MIDAGRI is conducting a pilot demonstration of the process to obtain the compliance report through the Agrodigital platform, which contributes to meeting the first requirement of the EUDR. This tool will allow producers to independently generate their reports through the upcoming update of the AgroDigital mobile application, available on the Play Store, which will be connected to international platforms.
Additionally, the stand features an interactive registration activity, illustrating step by step the process of registration, geolocation, verification, and report issuance, especially designed
for coffee producers.
In this edition, the Ministry of the Environment (MINAM) also participates through its deforestation-free value chains project, aimed at promoting sustainable and profitable coffee and cocoa production models. The Director General of Environmental Economics and Financing at MINAM emphasized that compliance with the European regulation opens new commercial opportunities for deforestation-free products and strengthens their traceability.
MIDAGRI and MINAM thus reaffirm their joint commitment to sustainable, resilient, competitive, and environmentally responsible value chains, responding to the new demands of the international market.
