The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI) is leading a territorial governance process in the Apurimac, Ene, and Mantaro Rivers Valley (VRAEM), coordinating efforts with the PROVRAEM Special Project, regional and local governments, universities, producer organizations, and private companies. The objective: to strengthen the coffee and cacao value chains with a sustainable vision and a global market.
As part of this strategy, free registration in the Agricultural Producers Register (PPA), which allows farmers to be officially recognized, is being promoted, as well as the geolocation of plots through the AGRODIGITAL platform, which guarantees transparency in crop traceability.
These actions are part of the National Strategy for the implementation of the European Union Regulation on Deforestation (EUDR), which opens new export opportunities for producers in the VRAEM region by meeting the highest environmental and commercial standards.
Likewise, national and international fairs such as ECOCACAO and FICACAO 2025 are consolidating as key coordination spaces, incorporating registration modules and awareness-raising activities aimed at farmers, community leaders, and local media.
With this joint effort, MIDAGRI reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the digital identity of VRAEM producers, enhancing their inclusion in support programs, and expanding their opportunities to access international markets.
