As part of its commitment to sustainable, competitive agriculture aligned with international standards, MIDAGRI reaffirms that the geolocation process for coffee, cocoa, and oil palm plots is being carried out completely free of charge.

This service is provided as part of the Agricultural Producers Registry (PPA) and the National Geolocation Plan, which is already in place in 13 regions of Peru. The plan aims to strengthen the traceability of national production and facilitate compliance with EUDR requirements.

Currently, Midagri has signed an agreement to access the Global Forest Watch Pro platform, allowing producers and agricultural cooperatives free access to this platform for the purpose of obtaining deforestation-free reports to comply with the first condition of the EUDR.

It also clarifies that private certifications do not replace or exempt the operator from compliance with the due diligence process, which is a direct requirement of the European Union Regulation on Deforestation (EUDR).

The Midagri urges producers and organizations not to be surprised by undue charges and reaffirms its commitment to providing technical assistance and clear and timely information to help them comply with this regulation.
