For a sustainable and competitive agriculture! The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI) presented the progress and strategic actions it has been taking to comply with Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 on deforestation-free products (EUDR) during the "Regional Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue" event, organized by the AL-INVEST Verde program.

The event took place in Tarapoto, with the participation of regional authorities, representatives of international cooperation agencies, technical committees, cooperatives, and territorial organizations, along with coffee and cocoa producers.

During the event, the national strategy for compliance with the EUDR Regulation, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture (MIDAGRI), was presented. This strategy seeks to consolidate public action in the region through collaborative work with regional technical committees, local governments, provincial agrarian agencies, organized producers, and strategic allies of international cooperation agencies.

In addition, the progress of the Agricultural Producers' Registry (PPA) in the San Martín region was shared, as well as the digital tools that strengthen it, such as the PPA mobile application and the processes for geolocating productive plots. These tools aim to facilitate the traceability of agricultural production, a key requirement for accessing international markets within the framework of the EUDR Regulation.

As part of the event, a working dynamic was developed for stakeholders from different regions to identify challenges and propose concrete solutions to strengthen the adoption of the PPA in San Martín. These systematized contributions will be used to plan two of the project's core activities: training for promoters and the geolocation of more than 64,000 plots.
