The Observations are made under the MAGnetometer Data Acquisition System (MAGDAS) of the Circum-pan Pacific Magnetometer Network (CPMN) project, which are conducted by KYU through its International Research Center for Space and Planetary Environmental Science (I-SPES) and Graduate School Science (Principal Investigator: Prof. Akimasa Yoshikawa). Some land in Peru needed to support the installation and operation of five ground-based observation instruments: (1) one FM-CW radar (ionosonde) in Sicaya, (2) one MAGDAS-II magnetometer in Ica (ICA), and (3) three MAGDAS-9 magnetometer in Huancayo (HUA), Ancón (ANC) and Tingo María (TMA).
