Convocatoria A Elecciones Para El Consejo De Consulta 2023 - 2024

The Consular Section of the Embassy of Peru in Singapore is pleased to convene and invite compatriots in this country to participate in the voting process to elect the members of the Consultation Council, period 2023-2024. The vote to elect the three members of the next Consultative Council of the Peruvian community residing in Singapore will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the headquarters of our Embassy (390 Orchard Road, #12-03 Palais Renaissance, Singapore 238871 ) from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, and according to the following schedule:
8:30 am: Draw among the compatriots present at the Embassy to form the Electoral Committee.
09:00 hours: Installation of the Electoral Committee, report from the Consular Section on the candidates received; validation and registration of candidates by the Electoral Committee.
09:30 hours: Start of voting.
4:30 pm: Closing of voting/counting of votes to verify the minimum number/counting.
5:00 pm: Proclamation of the results and signing of the minutes.
The requirements to apply as a candidate for the Consultative Council are:
a) Be Peruvian, over 18 years of age at the time of applying;
b) DNI, current or expired, indicating address in the consular district (Singapore);
c) Not be an official or employee of the consular office;
d) Do not register police or criminal records in Peru or abroad;
e) Not having been sanctioned with loss of membership status of any Consultative Council;
f) Sign the affidavit as applicant, which is attached hereto [available here:
Likewise, those who are interested in presenting their candidacy to be a member of the Consultation Council must communicate it in writing to the Head of the Consular Section, stating that they meet the requirements to apply as candidates, in accordance with article 19 of the Regulations of the Law of the Councils. of Consultation of Peruvian Communities Abroad, Supreme Decree No. 057-2010-RE, including the documents required to apply, presenting them in physical form (original version) until the day of the vote or sending them to the following postal address: 390 Orchard Road, #12-03 Palais Renaissance, Singapore 238871, for receipt no later than Friday, September 29, 2023, advance said documents in digital version (scans) by email to the address consular@embassyperu.org.sg .
The requirements to be a candidate for the Consultative Council will be accredited before the Electoral Committee on the day of the election, including the presentation of certificates of not registering criminal or police records (no more than 3 months old) both in Peru and in Singapore or, failing them, the presentation of the aforementioned Affidavit, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 25035 “Administrative Simplification Law”.
Applicants may request that their candidacy be disseminated at the premises of our Embassy and on the official website of the Consular Section.
The requirements to vote are:
a) Be Peruvian, over 18 years of age at the time of choosing.
b) Present DNI, current or expired, with address in Singapore.
The Consultation Councils constitute a space for dialogue and cooperation between national communities abroad and the Consular Offices of Peru. Their purpose is to identify community problems with such offices and jointly seek solutions. Likewise, collaborate in favor of compatriots abroad who are going through difficulties and provide assistance to needy sectors of Peru.
