Yesterday, Peru and the United Kingdom celebrated 200 years of relations at Lancaster House, with the presence of FCDO Minister for Americas & Caribbean, David Rutley MP, who presided over this important ceremony.

Both Minister Rutley and the Ambassador of Peru, Juan Carlos Gamarra, agreed on the excellent state of the bilateral relation and the potential for new initiatives to be explored in order to build the agenda for the next 200 years of friendship between both countries.

The Embassy of Peru in the United Kingdom would like to thank the British Government for such a unique moment that fully conveyed the richness of the links that unite our countries.

Special thanks to Nigel Huddleston, Minister for International Trade -DBT, Greg Hands, Chair of the Conservative Party, and James Dauris, Director for Latin America at FCDO, for joining us on such an important occasion.
