Pisco demostration in London

The Embassy of Peru in the United Kingdom, in collaboration with the Latin American Travel Association (LATA), organised a Pisco demonstration on the 20th of September, in which around 60 spirit enthusiasts attended a comprehensive presentation about the exciting world of Pisco. The Ambassador of Peru opened the event, highlighting the unique qualities of Pisco and its importance as a key component of our culture.
The demonstration was conducted by the talented mixologist Gian Carlo Nazario, who explained the main aspects that render this spirit so special, with emphasis on its versatility and delicateness. Gian Carlo showed how to prepare three different types of Pisco-based cocktails: Pisco Sour, Chilcano de Pisco, and the traditional “Captain” cocktail. Furthermore, Ricardo Romero from PROMPERÚ in the UK & Ireland made a presentation on wine tourism attractions in Peru and the presence of Pisco in the UK. Finally, everyone tasted these delicious cocktails.
This event is one of the activities of the Pisco and Gastronomy Promotion Programme conducted by the Embassy, which aimed at positioning Pisco in the British market and more broadly promoting Peru as a culinary, cultural and tourist destination.
