At the event, the artist showed a unique collection of extraordinary images shot in 1982, when he travelled over 15,000km through the country, much of it in a VW Beetle.
The exhibition took visitors on a visual journey through Peru’s cities, villages and some of the remotest parts of the country, including coastal, mountain and Amazon regions.
Distinguished artists, members of cultural institutions and friends of Peru, among others, attended the opening.
PERU 1982 will be open until May 5th, from Monday to Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Inca Garcilaso room at the Embassy of Peru.
