The Embassy of Peru is pleased to invite you to the exhibition SONQOLLAY, by the Peruvian artist Mili Vega, which will take place in the Inca Garcilaso room of the Embassy of Peru from 24th November to 5th December , 2022.
SONQOLLAY brings together the latest creations by the artist, in which she pays tribute to childhood and her Peruvian identity. In addition to her own works, the exhibition includes paintings made by children and young people in her art workshops and a large work done by the artist together with them.
Mili Vega was born in Catacaos, Piura, and has dedicated her entire life to art. She comes from a family of renowned artists and has studied at the School of Fine Arts in Peru and at the “Esmeralda” School of Fine Arts in Mexico. He has exhibited in Peru, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador and the United Kingdom. She has also been the winner of the awards "Mexican Artist" (Mexico, 2020); "Latin American Culture Recognition" (Berlin, 2018); “Recognition at the Da Vinci International Festival” (Mexico, 2018); "Piece of the Month" (Mexico, 2017); among others.
