Exports into Ireland consist mostly of agricultural goods (fruits, nuts, cereals, coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar, spices, meat and fish, among others), textiles (wool, cotton, silk, fabric and apparel articles), chemical products and minerals (copper, iron, zinc, steel), beverages and spirits, machinery (boilers, reactors), electrical equipment, wood and ceramic, among others.
During the first eleven months of 2021, Peruvian textile and sea products returned to pre-pandemic levels. Exports of Alpaca products to the world grew by around 68% during 2021, reaching demanding markets thanks to the expertise, capabilities, high quality and certifications of the textile Peruvian manufacturing industry.
Likewise, value-added fishing products exports, not including fish meal or fish oil, grew 16.3% during the first eleven months of 2021, growth mainly due to an impressive increase in scallops’ exports.
This data provides evidence of the high potential for growth and demand that these Peruvian products have worldwide and in particular in the Irish market.
