eptember 20, 2024.- On this date, the Peruvian Embassy in Ireland held the exhibition “Peruvian Threads”, a display of typical Peruvian folk dance costumes.
Accompanied by videos and explanatory texts, the exhibition showed textiles and folk dance costumes that represent the cultural diversity of the different regions of Peru, such as the marinera, the huaylas, the huayno and the jungle dances. The attendees were impressed by the color and the history behind each traditional costume and dance.
The Embassy of Peru in Ireland would like to take this opportunity to thank the folk dance group “Peru Fusión” for their collaboration in the setting up of this cultural exhibition, which is part of the celebrations of “Culture Night” 2024, an event organised by The Arts Council in which various educational and cultural institutions open their doors to the public to offer free activities.
The Embassy of Peru also thanks the attendees and is pleased to have contributed once again to this multicultural event that promotes the understanding and appreciation of Peruvian art and traditions.
