The National Port Authority (APN), specialized agency that reports to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, governing entity of the National Port System, informs the port community and the general public that we have gained knowledge of through Letter of Protest about incidents occurred during waste collection basic port service in some public port terminals.
These incidents are referred to alleged request received from companies that provide the aforementioned services to the master of ship for purchase fuel and commercial threat, whose actions infringe article 14 of Law N° 27943 – National Port System Law, and also article 61 and 62 of its rules approved by Supreme Decree N° 003-2004-MTC.
In that sense, the APN expresses categorically rejected against this unlawful act, that could affect image, quality and competitive of National Port System, therefore, members of port community and general public are encouraged to all activities should be carried out in legality, efficiency, quality and continuity conditions, otherwise, any unlawful act must be denounce to the competent authorities.
