The 2025 Mining Investment Project Portfolio of the Ministry of Energy and Mines consists of 67 projects distributed across 19 departments of Peru, with a total estimated investment of US$ 64.071 billion. The 2025 edition shows significant growth compared to the previous year, incorporating 19 new projects and removing 3, which represents an increase of US$ 9.515 billion compared to the 2024 portfolio.
Of the 67 projects, 33 correspond to greenfield projects (new) and 34 to brownfield projects (expansions, replacements, optimizations, and reutilizations). Cajamarca leads the portfolio in terms of investment, followed by Apurímac and Arequipa. In addition, 45.5% of the total investment is concentrated in the southern macro-region of the country, reflecting the strategic importance of this area for national mining development.
The portfolio also stands out for its diversity of minerals, with copper, gold, silver, zinc, and iron projects predominating. Regarding project stages, 17.9% are under execution or in the detailed engineering phase (considered "base" investment), while 30.3% are at the feasibility stage ("probable" investment). This portfolio represents a key tool to foster private investment in mining, job creation, and the sustainable economic growth of Peru.
