The General Mining Law was enacted in June 1992 through Supreme Decree No. 014-92-EM, and has since been amended by various regulations. In addition, several issues related to mining activities have been developed through norms of different legal hierarchies, making it essential to have access to the current and updated text of each article for proper understanding and application of the legal framework.

This book, which includes the Consolidated Text (TUO) of the General Mining Law, has been annotated, updated, and harmonized, compiling all the amendments made to the law. The annotations reference complementary and subordinate regulations that help clarify the scope of each article and its relationship with other relevant legal provisions in the sector.
