From June 24 to July 31, the INEI will perform the 2024 National Registration of Municipalities (RENAMU) across the country

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) informed that from June 24 to July 31 of the current year, the municipalities of the country could update its information in the National Registration of Municipalities (RENAMU) 2024, through on-line form.

It is worth to mention that this statistical research consolidates the information of 1 thousand 891 provincial and district municipalities; and 2 thousand 959 municipalities of populated centers, according to the Chief Resolution N° 161-2024-INEI, published in the Official Journal El Peruano in June 22 of the ongoing year.

The RENAMU will allow to have information about citizen security, disaster risk management, public services, protection and conservation of the environment, licenses granted for operate business, urban building and habilitation, education, culture, sport and recreation, health, social organizations, cases attended in the Municipal Defenders of Girl, Boy and Adolescent, promotion of local economic development, neighborhood participation, collection of solid residues, among the main variables of municipality management.

The registration also collects information about the personnel by category of occupational and labor condition, equipment and computing resources, among others; with the purpose of proving updated information and may be useful to authorities, for the policy-making of the central, regional, local government, as well as the researchers, students, and public in general.

The municipalities could registry the forms in the on-line platform that is available in the INEI Website

This on-line platform, is friendly, easy to fill and has structured questions by subjects. In addition, it shows a report of the situation condition of the registration of questions and validations of data provided.

Provincial and district municipalities across the country could fill the “Form 01: 2024 National Registration of Municipalities” through the following link: https://renamu.inei.gob.pe/2024/#/login/f01, using the user and access password that will be provided by the INEI through official document targeted to the Mayor.

On the other hand, the municipalities of populates centers, could enter its information in the “Form 02: 2024 National Directory of Municipalities of Populated Centers” through the following link https://renamu.inei.gob.pe/2024/#/login/f02.
