In April 2024, the sector service provided to companies registered an increase of 3.98%, compared to the same month of the last year, explained by the positive evolution of its four components: Travel agencies and tour operators, Professional, scientific and technical activities, administration and support services activities, Advertising and market research.
Between January and April of 2024, the sector accumulated a progress of 3.10%.
Travel agencies and tour operators registered increase of 58.11%
During April, travel agencies and tour operators reported a growth of 58.11%, driven by the heading of travel agencies, due to the special discounts in all-inclusive travel packages promotions of air tickets, national and international touristic circuits, cruise line services, reservation of travels and additional services such as transportation, accommodation, tours and guided visits.
In addition, it contributed the performance of the XIX International Tourism Ferie Fit Boniotur 2024 in Cusco, with the participation of travel agencies, tour operators, hotels and hostels, touristic restaurants, among others.
Likewise, the tour operators registered greater transactions, due to the increase of domestic and receptive tourism for guided visits to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, Esplanade of Sacsayhuamán, National Reserve of Paracas, Lines of Nazca, Valle of Colca and Huascarán National Park.
Professional, scientific and technical activities increase 2.12%
Professional, scientific and technical activities registered an increase of 2.12%, driven by the greater increase in the architecture and engineering activities and related activities of technical advice, before new engineering projects and Works in execution, increase in mining labors, valuations approved due to the fulfillment of milestones, participation in public monitoring of works, architecture studies, consultancies in mining solutions, energy, environmental and infrastructure and technical advice.
The activities of consultancy of business management increased due to the greater increase of management services, advice on finance, risks, organization, technology and processes, management of human capital, strategies of expansion, development of leadership skills and management of the organizational change.
Likewise, the legal activities grew due to the cases won, consultancies and advisements in criminal, labor and tax and notarial services subjects. The same behavior showed the activities of accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, and assessment in tax matters, due to the increase of tax consultancies, tax declarations, audits and accounting outsourcing, assessment in corporative finances and implementation of accounting systems.
Administrative and support services registered a progress of 1.82%
Administrative and support services activities showed an increase of 1.82%, explained by greater activities of rent and operating leasing of machines, equipment and tangible goods, due to continuity of projects and demand of heavy-duty machines for mining exploitation, of heavy-duty cargo vehicles for agro-exportation, transfer of personnel to works camps, operative services of forklift, trailers and recreational vehicles for tourism sector.
The activities of call centers showed also a positive trend due to greater telemarketing campaigns, support, collections, information lines, technical support and promotions of credit cards, loans and insurance.
Likewise, the activities of private security and services of security system grew due to greater increase in contracts of private surveillance, personal security, value transfer, location services, closed-circuit television systems, systems of access control, alarms and electric fence.
In the same sense, general cleaning activities of buildings increased due to new contracts for cleaning of offices, universities, hospitals, education centers, administrative and industrial facilities.
Advertising and market research increased 6.04%
Advertising and market research activities registered an increase of 6.04% due to the positive performance of the advertising heading, driven by the investment in advertising campaigns by autumn -winter season, digital marketing in social networks, influencers services, immersive and experimental advertising, projects of commercial production for advertising spots in radio and television, rent of advertising panels in busy roads, streets, shopping centers and train stations, as well as driving services, promoting and commercial channels in events and fairs.
Likewise, the activities of market research and performance of surveys of public opinion, gained in importance, offering an analysis of trends, audience measurement, forecasts, consumers profiles, regional and local studies about social, politic and economic subjects.
