Annual Economic Survey 2023 starts this November 2

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) informed that in November 2 of this year, will start the Annual Economic Survey (EEA) 2023 aimed at getting economic and financial information of big, medium and small companies that developed activities during the year 2022.

For the EEA 2023 it has been established a sample of 12,300 companies which information will allow characterize the evolution of the economy of the companies in the country and will be useful for planning, formulation and evaluation of public policies in different sectors and/or productive, commercial and provide service activities.

It should be noted that the EEA would provide basic statistical information of companies and its establishments. This information will be useful to characterize the company economic structure of the country at national level, by economic activity and by size of company. In addition, it will be useful as permanent source for the update of the Central Company and Establishments Directory.

The obtained data will be use to organize and implement a Data Bank, that have statistical information systematized and classified, continuing like that, with the System of Basic Information for National Accounts and for the design, implementation and evaluation of sectoral public policies, as well as the useful information and economic indicators for management of companies.

The companies should provide economic information belonging the year 2022; that includes the total of economic transactions performed from January 01 to December 31 of the year 2022; and regarding the comparative financial states, 2022 financial period will be requested as well as 2021.

The EEA will have a coverage at national level and the selected companies will be those that develop the following economic activities: Fishing, Aquiculture, Hydrocarbons, Manufacturing, Electricity and Power Generation, Construction, Commerce, Transportation and Communications, Lodging Establishments, Restaurants, Travel Agencies, Private Education, Private Superior Education and Services.

The information record will be through web form

The information that is requested during the survey will provide by the owner, manager, accountant or some other representative designed by the company.

It is important to note that for finding out if your company is part of the sample, you should enter the web portal of the 2023 EEA https://censos.inei.gob.pe/economicas/ and then digitalize the RUC number. If your company had been selected, a company fact sheet with general information will be display such as business name, Taxpayer Registration Number (RUC), sector and delivery date. For the information record, make a click in “Ingresar al Formulario en su versión web” (“Enter the Form in its web version”), then digitalize the username and password that will be provided by the INEI. It is worth to mention that the INEI will provide permanent advice and support to the informants of each company.

The information gathered will be reserved according to the established in the Supreme Decree N° 043-2001-PCM Regulations on the Organization and Functions of the INEI, which provides to keep strictly confidential the information collected by the institution.
