Services provided to companies grew 1.18%, in July of 2023

In July of 2023, the sector Services Provided to Companies registered a growth of 1.18%, compared to the same month of the last year, determined by the evolution of two of its components: professional, scientific and technical and publicity and market research activities. Nevertheless, reported the decrease the activities of administrative and support services to companies, and travel agencies and tour operators. During the period January-July of 2023, this sector accumulated an increase of 1.33%, compared to the same period of the year of 2022.

Professional, scientific and technical activities grew by 2.72%, due to the increase of the consulting activities of business management, associated to the demand of counseling and consulting in business projects to MYPE, financial advisory, portfolio and investments, administrative services and management and evaluation of business plans.

The activities of architecture and engineering increased before the allocation of new projects of engineering in the field of the civil, electric, industrial and mining field, participation in new private and public tenders and approved valuations for meeting milestones. Meanwhile, the legal activities showed positive trend, due to customer service in notaries, increase of court proceedings and legal advice in family, corporate, commercial litigation and labor law area.

Nevertheless, the activities of essays and technical analysis decreased, due to the lower services of physical and chemical of samples of minerals, environmental, pharmaceutical, physicochemical and physicochemical and microbiological. Likewise, the accounting activities decreased due to the lower audits, accounting, financial, labor and taxes counseling.

Advertising and market researchregistered an increase of 9.56%, driven by the good performance of advertising area, before the increase of marketing campaigns for National Holidays, designs of corporative image, promotions in point of sale, brand activation and tastings of products, advertising in TV channels, social networks and digital communication in virtual platforms. On the other hand, the activity of market research and performance of public opinion poll decreased due to the decrease of projects at local and regional level, marketing studies, performance of opinion polls in politics and economic subjects.

Activities of administrative and support services reported a decrease of 1.93%, due to the decrease registered of temporary employment agencies due to lower requirement of labor intermediation, outsourcing and non-renovation of contracts. Likewise, the activities of rental and operating leasing decreased due to the completion of projects, lack of work fronts and lower contracts with the mining and construction sector. The activities of rental and operating leasing of automotive vehicles decreased by lower rental orders of light-duty vehicles for tourist, operative and assistance personnel transport.

General cleaning of buildings registered decrease, due to lower demand of cleaning services outdoor and indoor, cleaning of buildings and environmental cleanliness. Administrative services of office combined and collection agencies and of credit information decreased by the lower client portfolio.

On the other hand, private security activities increased due to more job positions of guard and security; as well as the activities of telephone exchanges due to new campaigns.

Activities of travel agencies and tour operatorsregistered a decrease of 15.01% explained by the lower activity of travel agencies, due to low demand of tour packages, air travel, booking services, accommodation, leisure and corporate segment for national and international destinations. Likewise, the activity of tour operators decreased by the lower reception of group of foreign and national tourists for guided tours to tourist sites such as the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and National Reserve of Paracas, in full day services, tours and sightseeing tours.
