Sector services rendered to companies increased by 1.44% in June 2023

In June 2023, the sector services rendered to companies registered a variation of 1.44%, compared with the same month of the last year, explained by the progress of two main components: professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as advertising and market research. While, travel agencies and tour operators and activities of administrative services and support to companies, showed an unfavorable behavior.

During the period January-June of this year, the mentioned sector accumulated an increase of 1.36%, compared to the same period of the year 2022.

Professional, scientific and technical activities grew by 2.91% explained by the activities of management consultancy activities due to the demand of counseling and consulting business, management services, and consultancy about the work environmental, business development, public relations, credits and investment portfolio and customer loyalty.

Architecture and engineering activities showed progress by the implementation of civil, electrical, road and sanitation projects, resumption of works, awarding of new projects, increasing of mining labors, tenders won, and consultancies in architecture, design and implementation of offices. The accounting activities increased by consultancy services and financial audits, accounting services and of spreadsheets, courses and trainings.

Meanwhile, the essays and technical analyses decreased due to the delay in the start of new projects: as well as legal activities due to lower notarial services and legal advice.

Advertising and market research increased by 8.45% by the publicity area, due to the development of advertising designs, launching of campaigns for Father’s Day, advancement of the National Holidays season, commercial advertisements in mass traditional media and online channels.

Additionally, the market research and conduction of public opinion poll showed a positive trend, explained by the local and regional studies, market studies and opinion polls in economic, politic and social issues.

Activities of administrative and support services decreased by 1.67% explained by the activities related with the employment before the lower provision of human resources and job outsourcing, associated with the termination of contracts and lower demand of programs of personal training.

Similarly, there were affected the activities of agencies of temporary job and job placement due to lower requests of temporary and replacement employees; as well as the administrative activities of the office and other similar due to the downward registered in telephone centrals due to the closure of campaigns.

In addition, the activity of collection agencies decreased due to the reduction of client portfolio, the activities of security and research decreased due to the termination of contracts of private security and security systems. Nevertheless, the activities of rental and operational lease increased due to the requirement of mining projects and cleaning of buildings due to new contracts of comprehensive cleaning and y maintenance of houses, offices, hospital and educational environments.
