INEI will update the National Registry of Municipalities 2023 since August 21 to September 29

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) informed that between August 21 and September 29 of this year, the municipalities of the country may update its information in the National Registry of Municipalities (RENAMU) 2023.
This statistic research consolidates information of the 1 thousand 891 provincial and district municipalities; as well as the 2 thousand 897 municipalities of populated centers, for which it shall count with an on-line form, in compliance with the Directorial Resolution N° 217-2023-INEI, published in the Official Newspaper El Peruano on August 15 of 2023.
The RENAMU collects information about citizen security, disaster risk management, public services, protection and environmental protection and preservation, operating licenses granted for businesses, urban building and habilitation, education, culture, sport and recreation, health, social organizations, attended cases in Municipal Ombudsmen’s offices for Girls, Boys and Adolescents, promotion of the local economic development, neighborhood participation, collection of solid residues, among the main variables of municipal management.
In addition, information is also requested on personnel by category of occupation and labor condition, equipment and informatics resources, among others, in order to deliver updated and useful information to the authorities, for decision-making in the three government levels, as well as researchers, students and public in general.
Municipalities could complete forms on-line
In order to provide the facilities, a new on-line platform is available, with a friendly way, easy to answer and with structured questions by subject. In addition, it shows a performance progress report on the fulfillment of the form questions.
The provincial and district municipalities across the country could enter through the “Form 01: National Registry of Municipalities 2023”, available in the following link https://renamu.inei.gob.pe/2023/#/login/f01, using the user and the access password that will be provided by the INEI through a memorandum addressed to the Mayor’s office.
Likewise, the municipalities of populated centers would be able to enter its data in the “Form 02: National Registry of Municipalities of Populated Centers 2023 entering the following link https://renamu.inei.gob.pe/2023/#/login/f02.
If there has been any difficulty in the filling out of the on-line form or in the access to the Internet service, the provincial, district and populated centers of the country could use the PDF form, that is in the category Surveys and Registries / National Registry of Municipalities 2023, following link: https://www.gob.pe/institucion/inei/campa%C3%B1as/9115-registro-nacional-de-municipalidades-2023.
The deadline to update the RENAMU 2023 information will end in September 29 of this year
The INEI informed that the latest day of the presentation of the information would expire on September 29 of 2023. In case of completing the form in the PDF format, the municipalities of Lima Metropolitan area would forward to the e-mail renamu@inei.gob.pe. While, the municipalities placed to the interior of the country, should forward to the Departmental and Zonal Offices of Statistics and Informatics, which addresses and e-mails are available in https://www.gob.pe/institucion/inei/sedes
