Traffic Flow Of Vehicles At National Level Increased 7.6%

In November of 2022, the National Rate of Vehicle Traffic Flow the one that measures the traffic Flow of light and heavy-duty vehicles through the tollbooths of the country reported an increase of 7.6% compared with the same month of 2021, this was informed by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI). Also informed that the result of the mentioned month was supported in the greater traffic flow of light (12.5%) and heavy (1.9%) duty vehicles. 
 
In the technical report Traffic Flow of Vehicles by tollbooths corresponding to the month under analysis, is also stated that in the last twelve months (December 2021 – November 2022), this indicator presented a favorable result of 5.5%.
 
Traffic flow of light duty units grew 12.5%
In November of 2022, the traffic Flow of light duty vehicles through the tollbooths of the country increased in 12.5% compared to the same month of 2021. The tollbooths with greater traffic flow were: to the north, Piura (Loma Larga Baja 1.7%); in the south, Ica (Marcona 18.1%) and Moquegua (Ilo 4.8%); and in the center, Lima (Pasamayo Serpentine 19.4%).
 
Traffic Flow of heavy-duty vehicles increased 1.9%
During the month under analysis, the traffic of heavy-duty units through the tollbooths increased in 1.9% compared to November of 2021. This behavior was due to the greater demand of this type of vehicles used for the transportation of products related to the Construction, Mining, Commerce and Agricultural activities.
 
The units with greater traffic flow were registered: to the north, Piura (Paita 9.8% and Piura-Sullana 2.2%), Cajamarca (Pomahuaca-Pucara 2.7%), Lambayeque (Diversion Olmos 2.0%) and San Martin (Aguas Claras 0.5%). In the south, Ica (Marcona 37.4%), Moquegua (Ilo 30.3%), Puno (Caracoto 13.9%) and Arequipa (Matarani-Concesion 3.9%); and in the center, in Lima (Pasamayo Variant 0.5% and El Paraiso 0.2%).
 
Traffic flow of heavy-duty vehicle of 3 to 7 axle increased 1.3%
In the month of November of 2022, the traffic flow of heavy-duty vehicles of 3 to 7 axle was increased in 1.3%, compared to the same month of 2021, supported by the increase of the traffic flow of vehicles such as trailers, semi-trailers and heavy-duty trucks of 3 axle (4.0%), 4 axle (0.5%), 5 axle (3.5%) and 7 axle (2.4%); nevertheless, it decreased the traffic flow of 6 axle (-0,6%) vehicles.
