Services sector rendered to companies grew 2.38% in October 2022

In October of the current year, Services sector Rendered to Companies increased in 2.38% compared with the same month of the last year, determined by the favorable progress of the activities of travel agencies and tour operators, professional, scientific and technical activities and also advertising and market research. Nevertheless, there were affected the activities of administration and support services to companies.

During the month under study, travel agencies and tour operators increased in 148.77% before the dynamism registered by travel agencies associated to the greater demand of air tickets, tourist packages, internal movements, accommodation, insurances, buses rental for transporting tourists, customized tourism, long holydays, high season of domestic and receptive tourism, services of tourist intermediation. Likewise, it increased the activity of touristic operators that were favored by the greater influx of groups of foreigner tourists, sale of tickets to trips, guided tours and trips.

The INEI informed that the professional, scientific and technical activities reported an increase of 0.86% influenced by the activities of architecture and engineering and allied activities of technical counselling, due to the development and performance of geophysical projects, electric services of medium and low tension, improvement of works progress, extension and maintenance of power distribution networks.

Same trend showed the activity of research and experimental development in the field of natural science and engineering, due to the greater requirement of studies, consultancies and projects of natural sciences. As well as projects of forest, conservation and natural areas protected. Nevertheless, it decreased the essays and technical analysis before the lower quantity of samples received and processed of chemical, mineral, environment products and also certifications of agricultural products; as well as legal activities due to the lower progress of court proceedings and lower influx of public for notarial procedures; and the activities of accounting due to the lower demand of accounting, tax and financial.

During October of this year, advertising and market research grew 5.89% due to the good performance of the group of advertising associated to the new member entrance, greater investments in projects and fulfillment of advertising campaigns for brand positioning, through management of brands ambassadors, advertising in social media, web sites, television, radio, outer panels and LED displays.

Also, it increased the market research and performance of surveys of public opinion due to demand of local, regional and external market research, consumer profile, audience measurement and digital consumption, category management and studies of public opinion.

In October of the current year, activities of administrative and support services registered a lower dynamism by registering a contraction of 3.21% as a result of the decrease in the activities of agencies of temporary job and placement of jobs, due to the lower request of temporary and replacement staff and personnel selection.

Likewise, it showed a negative performance the activities of private security due to lower surveillance posts, security counselling and non-renewal of contracts with main customers; activities of operative rent and leasing registered a drop due to the lower execution of mining projects, lower contract of rental equipment and services of maintenance and sanitation.

Likewise, it contracted the activities of collection agencies and agencies of credit information due to the reduction of customer base, lower assignation of non-performing portfolios and lower comprehensive management of collection in financial sector; as well as the activities of containers and packaging due to lower storage services and container and packaging services in agricultural areas.
