The positive result of the non-metallic mining sector was explained by the greater sale of natural calcium phosphate (145.3%), anthracite (543.4%), laminated security glass por automobiles, aircrafts and others (180.9%) and ceramic tiles of greater than 0.5% water uptake and lower or equal to 10% (7.4%). In the agricultural it outstood the shipments of blueberries (15.5%), fresh grapes (32.0%), artichokes (24.9%), preparations for animal feed (41.2%), as well as vegetables, fruits and other edible plants (14.9%).
Total volume exported of goods decreased in 16.0%
The INEI informed that the total volume exported of goods reduced in 16.0% compared with the same month of the last year, compared with the same month of the last year, before the lower shipments of traditional products (-25.0%). The main countries of country of destination of exports were China with a participation of 28.7%, United States of America 17.8% and Netherlands with 5.0% from the total value exported in real terms.
Among the exports of traditional products that showed an unfavorable behavior was the mining area in 25.6%, explained by lower shipments of copper (-23.0%), zinc (-32.4%), lead (-17.6%), tin (-38.8%), molybdenum (-59.7%) and silver (-0.8%). The export of fishing products grew in 5.7% due to the greater requirement of fish meal (59.1%) and fish oil (140.9%). Also, the agricultural exports increased in 15.0% as a result of greater shipments of coffee (5.7%).
On the other hand, the real exports of petroleum and natural gas decreased in 35.8% due to lower volumes exported of natural gas (-64.2%) and crude petroleum (-17.4%).
Total imported volume increased in 1.2%
During the month under study, the total imported volume increased in 1.2%, compared to the same month of the year 2021. Likewise, during the period January-October of 2022, the volume imported grew in 2.1%, due to the greater income of raw material and intermediate products (8.1%). The main countries supplier of goods were China and United States of America with a participation of 28.6% and 21.3%, respectively, regarding the total imported volume.
In 4.7% increased the import of raw materials and intermediate products
During the month under analysis, the volume imported of raw material and intermediate products increased in 4.7% compared to the same month of the last year, driven by the greater demand of fuels, lubricants and allied products (22.5%).
The purchase of fuels, lubricants and allied products was due to the greater demand of Diesel B5 with Sulphur content lower or equal to 50 ppm (86.5%), crude oil (11.7%), Diesel B2 with Sulphur content lower or equal to 50 ppm (8.2%) and jet fuel such as kerosene for reactors and turbines (269.9%).
On the other hand, it decreased the purchase of raw materials and intermediate products for the industry, such as hard yellow corn (-23.2%), polypropylene in primary forms (-4.3%%), wheat except for sowing (-32.3%), polyethylene of low density (-0.6%), among others. Also, it decreased the purchase of raw materials and intermediate products for agriculture, due to the lower acquisition of preparation used for feeding animals (-28.1%) and mineral fertilizers and chemical nitrogen (-61.2%).
Import of consumable goods decreased in 7.3%
The INEI informed that the import of consumable goods decreased in 7.3% compared to the same month of the year 2021, due to the lower volume of purchase of non-durable consumption goods (-3.1%) and durable consumption goods (-12.2%). Among the non-durable consumption goods of lower demand were the medicines for human use (-15.5%), toys (-24,6%), beauty preparations, make-up and skin care (-16.1%), and shampoos (-16.8%). Also, were affected the durable goods such as televisions (-24.0%), plastic manufacturing (-6.2%), motorcycles (-0.8%), refrigerator and freezer with separated exterior doors (-46.0%), among the main ones.
In 2.7% increased the acquisition of capital goods and Construction materials
In October of 2022, the volume imported of capital goods and construction materials grew in 2.7%, as a result of the positive evolution of the transportation equipment (24.2%) and capital goods areas for agriculture (34.1%).
Among the transportation equipment that showed a positive behavior were: trucks (74.2%), Diesel vehicles for transportation of merchandise with load greater than 20 T (67,6%), tractors for roads for semi-trailer (77.8%), pneumatics used in vehicles and machines for construction and mining (51.6%), among others. Also, it increased the acquisition of capital goods for agriculture that were represented by: other machines, devices and agriculture, horticultural and forestry artefacts, and caterpillar tractor of power greater than 75 kW and lower or equal to 130 kW (34.1%).
On the other hand, it decreased the purchase of capital goods for industry (-4.9%) and among its components are the machines for data processing of weight lower or equal to 10 kg (-10.8%); digital telecommunication devices (-4.5%); mechanic shovels, diggers, and loading shovels (-16.5%); parts of machines to classify, grind, earth, stone or solid mineral (-24.1%); among others. Likewise, it decreased the imports of construction materials (-0.7%) due to the lower national consumption of tubes and welded hollow profile of square or rectangular section (-5.3%); as well as ceramic tiles with a water absorption coefficient lower or equal to 0.5% (-50.6%), mainly.
