In June Of The Present Year The National Production Grew 3.44%

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) reported that, in the month of June 2022, national production increased 3.44%, due to the favorable evolution of most economic sectors, with the exception of agriculture, telecommunications and financial. In the technical report Production National also indicates that, In the accumulated period January-June 2022, national production increased 3.54% and in the annual period July 2021-June 2022 it reached 5.51%.
 
Fishing Sector grew 15.07%
During the month of analysis, the Fishing sector increased 15.07%, after six months of consecutive decrease, explained by a greater capture of species of maritime origin (20.33%), mainly of the anchoveta resource for indirect human consumption (meal and fish oil), registering an extraction of 929,291 tons, compared to 718,992 tons in June 2021, registering an increase of 29.25%, a situation observed in the second month of the 1st. anchoveta fishing season 2022, in the north-central zone of the Peruvian sea, area of greatest availability of the resource.
 
Likewise, the landing of resources for direct human consumption advanced 0.08%. Landing for canning (101.1%) and for fresh consumption (9.6%) increased; on the contrary, the capture of species for frozen (-5.3%) and for cured (-59.2%) decreased. Continental fishing was reduced by 37.60% due to a lower extraction of fresh species by -54.27%.
 
Agricultural production decreased by 1.64%
In June 2022, the agricultural sector contracted by 1.64%, due tothe lower production of agricultural activity (-2.88%), determined by unfavorable weather conditions; maximum temperatures below normal, mainly on the coast, which affected the normal growth and fortification of crops; while, in the Sierra and the Amazon of the country, the maximum temperatures prevailed their values within the normal range. It should be noted that the production of paprika (-47.0%), onion (-35.8%), dry beans (-26.9%), asparagus (-25.1%), paddy rice (- 21.9%), hard yellow corn (-20.2%) and brown (-4.6%). On the other hand, the livestock subsector increased by 1.48%, due to higher volumes of production in pigs (3.1%), fresh milk (2.3%), beef (1.7%) and poultry (1. 4%).
 
Mining and Hydrocarbons Sector increased 2.99%
After three months of negative results, the Mining and Hydrocarbons sector grew 2.99%, compared to the month of June 2021, due to the positive behavior of the metal mining activity by 1.14%, supported by higher volumes of production of molybdenum 9.5%, copper 8.0%, iron 3.8% and tin 2.3%; attenuated by the falls in the production of zinc -21.5%, silver -9.1%, gold -4.1% and lead -2.0%. Likewise, the hydrocarbons subsector increased by 14.19%, due to the greater exploitation of natural gas by 36.7%, crude oil by 17.8% and natural gas liquids by 0.9%.
 
Manufacturing production increased 5.69%
According to the report of the Ministry of Production, in June of this year the Manufacturing sector increased by 5.69% (higher rate than in August 2021 it grew 11.85%), influenced by the greater activity of both the non-primary subsector ( 4.16%), as well as the primary subsector (9.82%). In the non-primary subsector, the higher production of the intermediate goods industry (6.3%) and capital goods (29.0%) stands out; while a decrease was reported in the production of consumer goods (-0.4%).
 
Meanwhile, the growth of the primary subsector was based on the greater activity of the branches of processing and conservation of fish (17.9%), manufacture of primary products of precious metals (18.3%), processing of sugar (18, 9%) and processing and preservation of meat (2.2%); while the petroleum refining products manufacturing branch decreased (-30.5%).
 
The Electricity, Gas and Water sector increased 3.05%
During the month of analysis, the Electricity, Gas and Water sector increased 3.05% due to the higher production of the electricity subsector (2.95%), gas distribution subsector (1.24%) and the water subsector ( 4.11%). The favorable behavior of the electricity subsector was determined by the greater thermoelectric generation (2.9%), hydroelectric (2.3%) and renewable energies (11.9%). The gas distribution subsector increased due to higher demand from Natural Gas Vehicle NGV outlets (34.8%) and from companies (11.6%); while the demand of Electric Generators decreased (-2.4%). The positive result of the water subsector was based on the higher generation of the companies Sedapal (6.8%) and Sedapar (2.8%), among the main ones.
 
Construction Sector grew 6.02%
The Construction sector increased 6.02% determined, mainly, by the development favorable of the physical progress of public works (21.41%) and to a lesser extent of the internal consumption of cement (2.27%). In the result of the first component, an increase was observed in the three levels of government, National (25.2%), Regional (23.6%) and Local (18.8%), in construction works of public buildings such as health and schools; roadworks; as well as basic service works. In the second component, greater dynamism was registered in the development of private works, such as the construction of environments in shopping centers; expansion of industrial plants; expansion in mining units; remodeling of offices; construction of multi-family homes and condominiums.
 
The Commerce sector increased by 2.47%
In June 2022, the Commerce sector grew 2.47% as a result of the good performance of the vehicle sales and repair division (5.70%), wholesale sales (2.65%) and retail sales (0 .92%).
 
Transport, Storage and Messaging Sector increased 10.86%
The Transportation, Storage and Messaging sector increased 10.86%, influenced by the favorable performance of the transportation subsector (14.47%) and storage and messaging (1.54%). The result of the transport subsector was based on the greater activity of transport by land and pipelines (5.53%), mainly due to the greater movement of passengers by road (6.6%) and cargo by road (2.8%). ; Also, transportation by rail (29.19%) and pipeline transportation (22.08%) increased. Similarly, air transport (65.76%) and water transport (12.89%) grew.
 
Meanwhile, the growth of the storage and courier subsector was based on the increase in storage services and transportation support activities (2.36%); while postal and courier activities decreased (-8.04%).
 
Production of the Accommodation and Restaurants sector increased 25.10%
In the month of June of this year, the Accommodation and Restaurants sector presented a variation of 25.10%, explained by the greater activity of the restaurants subsector (24.17%) and the accommodation subsector (154.26%).
 
The result of the restaurants subsector is based in the oldest flow of guests due to the extension of the hours of attention, without capacity limits, both inside the establishments and in outdoor places; increased coverage of the delivery service, restructuring of spaces and commercial alliances with financial companies and supermarkets; situation made possible by the progress in the vaccination process. It should be noted that, during the same period of 2021, the group operated with the delivery service and in the salon care modality with capacity restrictions between 30%, 40%, 50% and 60%, depending on the alert level. of each department.
 
Telecommunications and Other Information Services Sector fell by 2.84%
The Telecommunications and Other Information Services sector decreased by 2.84% due to the reduction in the Telecommunications (-3.13%) and Other Information Services (-0.55%) subsectors. In the telecommunications subsector, the telephone service (-5.6%), both fixed and mobile, and data transmission (-9.1%) decreased; however, internet service and subscription television increased (3.5%).
 
The reduction in the Other Information Services subsector was due to lower activity in the production and exhibition of programs and movies (-13.7%) and editing services (-6.0%); on the other hand, the activity of TV and radio programming (0.7%) and computer programming (1.4%) grew.
 
Production of the Financial and Insurance sector decreased 7.83%
The Financial and Insurance sector registered a decrease of 7.83%, mainly due tothe lower credits (-2.81%) and deposits (-10.12%) of multiple banks. The negative result of credits was registered in those aimed at corporations and large, medium, small and micro-enterprises (-7.1%) and mortgage loans for housing (-0.2%). According to economic sectors, the activities that channeled fewer placements were: real estate, business and rental activities; trade; transport, storage and communications and mining. Likewise, the contraction of multiple banking deposits was observed in the segment of deposits for compensation of time of service (-30.8%), demand deposits (-19.5%) and savings deposits (- 6.7%).
 
The Services Provided to Companies Sector increased by 1.34%
The Services Provided to Companies sector increased 1.34%, due to the dynamism of travel agencies and tour operators (279.0%) and advertising and market research (6.8%). However, professional, scientific and technical activities (-1.7%) and administrative services and business support activities (-2.1%) decreased. The monthly result was influenced by the gradual reactivation of national and receptive tourism due to the vacation season, long holidays, the celebration of festivities such as the Inti Raymi in Cusco, the San Juan Festival in the Peruvian Jungle, the Day of San Pedro and San Pablo, advertising campaigns for Father's Day, online advertising on platforms, social media ads, brand activations and outdoor advertising. Government services increased 3.01%
Finally, the INEI reported that government services increased 3.01%, due to higher services from State institutions in the National, Regional and Local governments. The Public Administration sector presented a variation of 3.09%, highlighting the activities of the Interior sectors in police patrols by sector, police operations of specialized units to reduce crimes and misdemeanors; Health care in hospitalization, outpatient consultations, emergencies and specialized emergencies; Judicial Power, in the judicial processes of the superior courts of justice; Economy and Finance in the processes of promoting private investment in infrastructure projects and public services; National Elections Jury in preparation of electoral processes. Greater services were also recorded in Defense (2,02%) and the services provided by EsSalud (2,53%).
