Domestic Cement Consumption Grew 2.27% In June 2022

During June of the current year, domestic cement consumption increased in 2.27% comparing to the same month of the last year; this was announced by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), in the technical report Conjunctural Progress of the Economic Activity. Likewise, informed that with this result this indicator of Construction sector added five months of positive behavior.
 
Production of Fishing sector increased in 15.07%
During the sixth month of the current year, Fishing sector grew in 15.07% as a result of the greater landing of species of maritime origin (20.33%), mainly anchovy for indirect human consumption (fishmeal and fish oil), registering 929 291 tons, against the 718 992 tons reported in June of the last year, with a growth of 29.25%. It should be noted that, during May of the current year, it started the first fishing season of anchovy, in the north-center zone of the Peruvian coast, area of greater availability of this resource and continued during June.
 
Also, increased the landing of resources for direct human consumption in 0.08% intended to the preparation of canned fish (101.1%) and for consumption in fresh state (9.6%); meanwhile, that decrease the catch of species destined to be frozen (-5.3%) and for curing preparation (-59.2%). The fishing of continental origin decreased 37.60% due to the lower extraction of species in fresh state (-54.3%).
 
Electricity production increased in 6.01% in July of the current year
According to preliminary figures, in July 2022, electricity subsector increased in 6.01% due to the production of thermic origin (11.51%) and renewable, Eolic and solar energy (14.89%); nevertheless, it decreased the generation of hydraulic energy (-0.97%).
 
Among the companies that increased its production outstands: Termoselva, San Gaban, Egesur, Kallpa, EG Huallaga, Termochilca, Enel Peru, Statkraft, Engie, Egasa and Electro Peru, among the main ones. The companies that decreased its production were: Egemsa, Electro Oriente, EG Huanza, Orazul and Enel Piura.
 
In 24.32% grew the granting of consumption loans
During June 2022, consumption loans totalized S/ 63 864 million, increasing in 24.32% compared with the same month of the last year. Also, increased the mortgage loans by totalizing S/ 58 866 million and reporting a growth of 8.57%; as well as the credits granted to companies that amounted S/ 236 611 million, it means, they showed a progress of 1.04%.
 
On the other hand, the placement of credit cards of multiple banking was of 6 million 552 thousand units, a figure higher in 18.03%, compared with the same month of 2021.
 
Total imports increased in 31.43%
In June 2022, the total amount imported was of USD$ 5 392 million, increasing in 31.43%, compared to the value registered in June 2021, according to information available as of July 17 of the current year.
 
In this positive result influenced la import of raw materials and intermediate products by placing in US$ 3 174 million reaching an increase of 60.75%, compared to the value reached in June of the last year. Likewise, the value of the importation of consumption goods totalized US$ 1 006 million and showed an increase of 13.65%. Nevertheless, the importation of capital goods and construction materials increased to US$ 1 212 million, with a negative variation of 2.41%.
 
Collection of General Sales Tax increased 11.33% in Junio 2022
With information provided by the SUNAT, in June of the current year, the collection of the General Sales Tax (IGV) reached S/ 3 680 million of Soles; the amount collected by the application of the Selective Consumption Tax (ISC) was of 404 million of Sole s and for the concept of customs duties was of S/ 3 492 million of Soles.
