INEI Starts Second Stage Of The V National Economic Census

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) will carry out the National Survey to Large, Medium and Small companies from June 16 to the end of the year. This activity is part of the second phase of the V National Economic Census 2022 (V CENEC), in which it is estimated to have information of 32 thousand companies across the country, from which 13 thousand are considered as large and medium-size companies and 19 thousand are considered small companies.
The companies that are part of the sample of this survey should make the self-registration through the differentiated web forms for each economic activity, which are posted in the INEI web page (www.inei.gob.pe). The mentioned forms will request the following information: production, sales, main costs, machine depreciation, employment, wages, new working ways (on-site and remote), level of electronic commerce in sales and purchases of the companies, use of ICTs in the processes, expenses in research and development, productivity, among other variables.
In this second stage information of the following economic activities: mining, travel agencies, private education, commerce, construction, accommodation, hydrocarbons, fishing, manufacturing, electricity and electricity generation, as well as, transportation and communications, aquaculture, private superior education, restaurants and services. Each economic activity will have a specific form due to the particular characteristics of the sector.
Census officers for the second stage
Monitoring and advice for filling out the survey will be in charge of 100 census officers: operators, team leader and coordinators, which have been properly trained in order that the research carries out with success. They will communicate with the companies included in the sample and will serve for any query or required counseling.
It must be pointed out that the census officers were trained in technical, methodological and operative procedures, in order to carry out the monitoring and collection of information of selected companies that will participate in the survey.
Information that will be collected is confidential
The INEI calls upon the representatives of the companies and establishments to participate of the V National Economic Census (V CENEC). In addition, stressed that the information requested is confidential and will be used for strictly statistics purposes and will not be revealed in an individualized way by no means.
Finally, the results of the V CENEC, will serve for the public policy making aiming at improving employment, increase productivity and promote the sectors that have growth potential.
