In April 2022, national production increased by 3.69%, supported by the favorable performance of most economic sectors, with the exception of Fishing, Mining and Hydrocarbons, and Finance; This was announced by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) in the technical report of National Production. Likewise, it reported that in the accumulated period January-April 2022 the country's productive activity grew 3.80%.
 
In 4.76% the Agricultural sector increased
During the month of study, the production of the Agricultural sector grew 4.76% supported by the positive result of the agricultural subsector (6.13%) given the higher volumes of hard yellow corn (42.9%), grapes (39.3 %), paddy rice (32.5%), tangerine (23.6%), corn (12.4%), avocado (7.6%) and potato (5.9%). The same trend was shown by the livestock subsector, which increased by 1.94% due to higher production volumes of pigs (4.0%), poultry (2.6%), beef (1.0%) and fresh milk (0 .9%).
 
Fishing Sector decreased 37.47%
The INEI reported that the Fishing sector decreased 37.47% due to the lower extraction of species of maritime origin (-40.59%) for indirect human consumption (fishmeal and fish oil) when anchovy landings reached 26,114 tons, compared to to the 304,889 tons reported in April 2021, which caused a decrease of 91.43%; this capture corresponds to the first fishing season in the southern zone, characterized by the lower availability of the resource, whose distribution was affected by negative anomalies, due to the record of kelvin waves in their cold phase.
 
On the other hand, the landing of resources for direct human consumption grew by 4.56%, due to the increase in fishing destined for the preparation of canning (31.0%), for consumption in a fresh state (12.2%) and curing preparation (1.3%); however, the extraction for frozen decreased (-4.6%).
 
Continental fishing fell 6.63% due to the lower extraction of species for freezing and for preparation of curing by -17.4% and -22.2%, respectively.
 
The production of the Mining and Hydrocarbons sector decreased by 0.77%
The Mining and Hydrocarbons sector decreased by 0.77% due to the negative performance of the metal mining activity by -4.73%, associated with lower levels of zinc production (-23.6%), silver (-4, 4%), lead (-4.0%), copper (-3.1%) and gold (-0.1%); attenuated by the higher production of iron (7.6%), molybdenum (6.0%) and tin (1.5%). The hydrocarbons subsector grew by 26.20% driven by the greater exploitation of natural gas (47.9%), natural gas liquids (22.2%) and crude oil (14.9%).
 
Manufacturing Sector showed a variation of 2.71%
In April of this year, the Manufacturing sector presented a growth of 2.71% due to the dynamism of the non-primary subsector (7.93%); The industrial lines that register the greatest dynamism are the manufacture of costume jewelery and related articles (94.20%), the manufacture of knitted and crochet articles (88.15%), the manufacture of bodies for motor vehicles; manufacture of trailers and semi-trailers (69.95%), manufacture of malt and malt beverages (47.89%), manufacture of clothing (36.83%), manufacture of electric motors, generators and transformers (29.16 %), manufacture of metallic products for structural use (19.39%), manufacture of motorcycles (15.75%), among others.
 
However, the primary subsector decreased by 13.57%. The positive result of the non-primary subsector was based on the higher production of intermediate goods (11.29%), consumer goods (5.40%) and capital goods (9.70%). On the other hand, the unfavorable behavior of the primary subsector was determined by the lower activity in the branches of processing and conservation of fish (-57.8%) and manufacture of petroleum refining products (-32.4%), which it was attenuated by the increase in the branches of meat processing and preservation (3.2%), sugar processing (20.3%) and manufacturing of primary precious metal products (5.9%).
 
The production of the Electricity, Gas and Water sector grew by 2.76%
During April of this year, the Electricity, Gas and Water sector increased 2.76%, determined by the higher production of the electricity subsector (2.69%), gas distribution subsector (7.66%) and the water subsector (2 .42%). The positive behavior of the electricity subsector was based on the higher generation of thermoelectric origin (13.7%) and renewable energies (10.5%); the result of the water subsector was based on the higher generation of the companies Sedapar (6.6%), Sedapal (4.2%) and Sedalib (3.5%), among the main ones; also, the gas subsector increased due to the greater demand of the establishments selling Natural Gas for Vehicles (29.8%), of the Companies (6.9%) and of the Electric Generators (6.1%).
 
Construction sector production increased by 4.90%
The Construction sector grew by 4.90% evidenced in the dynamism of domestic cement consumption (6.44%) and the increase in public investment in construction (0.27%). In the first component, he highlighted the execution of private works aimed at improving and expanding educational institutions; construction of residential buildings; remodeling of commercial establishments and business offices; works in plants and warehouses of hydrocarbon and mining companies. In the component corresponding to public investment, increases were observed in the areas: National and Local, highlighting the works of improvement and expansion of schools and health centers. At the Regional level, investment decreased.
 
In 2.61% the Commerce sector increased
The Commerce sector advanced by 2.61% due to the good performance of vehicle sales and repairs (4.01%), wholesale sales (1.68%) and retail sales (4.79%), due to to the extension of the National State of Emergency and the measures for the reestablishment of social coexistence (DS No. 030-2022-PCM), consisting of the provision for the opening of all commercial establishments with 100% capacity, subject to compliance with the MINSA protocol. It should be noted that the wholesale division was attenuated by the social conflicts that paralyzed the country, in addition to the foreign situation generated by the war, which had an impact on the volume of imports due to logistical disruptions and the high prices of supplies.
 
Transportation, Storage and Messaging Sector increased 17.59%
The production of the Transportation, Storage and Messaging sector grew 17.59% due to the good performance of the transportation subsector (20.79%), as well as the storage and messaging subsector (7.97%). The growth of the transport subsector was influenced by the greater activity of land and pipeline transport (6.6%), driven by the movement of passengers by road (13.3%) and railway transport (17.0%). Likewise, air transport (115.4%) and water transport (52.2%) increased. On the other hand, in the storage and courier subsector, greater dynamism was observed in the items storage and transport support activities (8.0%), as well as postal and courier services (6.7%).
 
The Accommodation and Restaurants sector increased by 48.48%
The INEI reported that the production of the Lodging and Restaurants sector was higher by 48.48% due to the recovery of the activity of the lodging subsector (222.41%) and the restaurants subsector (47.65%). The result of the restaurants subsector was influenced by the greater flow of diners as a result of the extension of service hours due to the elimination of the curfew; lifting of capacity limits within establishments and in outdoor places, increased delivery service coverage, restructuring of spaces and signing of commercial alliances with financial companies and supermarkets, made possible by the progress in the vaccination process.
 
The result of the subsector was attenuated by the decrease in the activity of food services and concessionaires, due to the cancellation of contracts due to the decrease in personnel in some companies in conflict Social. It should be noted that, during the same period last year, this group operated with the delivery service and in the room care modality with capacity restriction between 30% and 70%, depending on the alert level of each department.
 
Telecommunications and Other Information Services Sector grew by 3.06%
During the month of study, the Telecommunications and Other Information Services sector increased by 3.06%, supported by the favorable result of the Telecommunications subsector (3.14%), added to the growth of the Other Information Services subsector (2.35%). ). In the telecommunications subsector, the telephone service grew (3.1%) and the Internet service and subscription television (4.6%). The increase in the other information services subsector was based mainly on the activity of computer programming (5.5%), production and exhibition of programs and films (64.0%), publishing service (5.8%); on the other hand, there was a decrease in TV and radio programming (-20.2%).
  
The Financial and Insurance sector decreased by 7.95%
The Financial and Insurance sector fell by 7.95% due to lower credits (-0.55%) and deposits (-9.54%) registered in multiple banks; According to destination segment, loans granted to corporations and large, medium and small companies were affected (-3.3%). At the level of economic sectors, the activities that channeled fewer credits were: real estate, business and rental activities; trade; transportation, storage and communications; and construction.
 
On the other hand, the negative behavior of deposits occurred mainly in the segment of deposits for Service Time Compensation (CTS), demand deposits and term deposits.
 
Sector Services Provided to Companies increased by 1.76%
The INEI announced that the Services Provided to Companies sector registered an increase of 1.76%, due to the dynamism of travel agencies and tour operators (395.6%) and advertising and market research (12.6%). ); however, administrative services and business support activities (-1.6%) and professional, scientific and technical activities (-2.4%) decreased. The result of the study month was influenced by the commemoration of Holy Week developed in an environment of gradual reactivation of national and receptive tourism; also, it contributed to the development of advertising campaigns by station, digital advertising, events and brand activations; On the contrary, this growth was attenuated by the lower execution of some mining projects, completion of some works, advisory services and business consultancies.
 
Government Services grew by 3.30%
Government services increased by 3.30% due to higher services from institutions in the Government, National, Regional and Local spheres. The Public Administration sector presented a variation of 3.39%, highlighting the activities of the Health sector, in the prevention, control, diagnosis and treatment of the coronavirus; Interior sector with patrolling by sectors. Also, higher services were reported in the Defense (2.2%) and EsSalud (3.1%) sectors.
 
Family consumption becomes more dynamic in the first quarter of 2022
The level of consumption of families reaches 90 thousand 013 million constant soles, constituting the highest record of consumption spending in the first quarter of the last decade.
