Since May 30 All Municipalities Of The Country Will Update The National Registration Of Municipalities 2022

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) informed that from 30 May to July 15 of the current year, the municipalities of the country should update its information in the 2022 National Registration of Municipalities (RENAMU), thorough an in-line form. It is important to mention that this statistic research consolidates information of the 196 Provincial municipalities, 1 thousand 678 District municipalities 2 mil 859 Municipalities of populated centers according to the established in the Chief Resolution N° 107-2022-INEI, published in the Official Journal El Peruano, on May 22 of the current year.

The RENAMU will allow to have the information about citizen security, disaster risk management, public services, protection and environmental conservation, licenses granted for business performance, building and urban habilitation, education, culture, sport and recreation, health, social organizations, treated cases in Municipality Defenders of the Boy, Girl and Adolescent, promotion of local economic development, local participation, collection of solid waste, among the main variables of Municipal Management.

Likewise, it will collect information about the personnel by category of occupation and employment status, equipment and informatic resources, among others; with the purpose of deliver updated and useful information to the authorities, for decision-making in the three government levels as well as the researchers, students and general public.

Provincial and District Municipalities across the country could diligence the “Formulario 01: Registro Nacional de Municipalidades 2022” through the following link http://censos.inei.gob.pe/renamu/2022/formulario01/, using the username and password that will be provided by the INEI through legal correspondence addressed to the Mayor.

Menawhile, municipalities of populated centers, should be able to register its information in the “Formulario 02: Directorio Nacional de Municipalidades de Centros Poblados 2022” entering the following link http://censos.inei.gob.pe/renamu/2022/formulario02/.

It should be stressed that, due to the measures established by the central government through the Supreme Decree Nº 044- 2020-PCM in which it is declared the National Emergency State due to COVID-19 Pandemic, in the case some difficulty arise in the processing of the in-line form or in the access to internet service, Provincial, District, and populated centers Municipalities across the country could use the PDF form, located in the section Encuestas y Registros/Registro Nacional de Municipalidades 2022 https://www.inei.gob.pe/estadisticas/encuestas/.

The maximum term to deliver the information duly filled in of the in-line form expires on July 15 of the current year. In the case the form is filled in in PDF format, Metropolitan Lima Municipalities should forward to the e-mail: renamu@inei.gob.pe; meanwhile, the Municipalities located within the interior of the country, should forward to the Departmental and Zonal Offices of the Institution, which addresses and e-mails are available at: https://www.inei.gob.pe/sedes/
