Services Sector Rendered To Companies Increased 2.73% During March Of The Current Year

During March 2022, Services Sector Rendered to Companies grew in 2.73%, compared to the same month of the last year, determined with the evolution of its four components: advertising and market research, travel agencies and tour operators, technical and scientific professional activities and activities of administrative and support services; this was announced by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI). Likewise, it informed that during the first quarter of this year this sector increased in 3.20%.

Factors that driven the sector were associated to the progressive reactivation of domestic and receptive due to holiday and summer season, advertising campaigns by season, execution of projects and progress of works, advisory and consultancy services, changes and flexibilization in limited capacity to 100% of opening hours.

The INEI informed that, advertising and market research activity expanded 14.06%boosted by the advertising sector before the demand of designs and digital animation, planning and advertising strategies, sensory and influence marketing, campaigns for digital and traditional media, publicity in exteriors and brand activation.

Furthermore, it increased markets research by regional and local studies, qualitative and quantitative investigations and surveys in politic, economic and social matters.

The INEI informed that travel agencies and tour operators grew in 213.96% as a result of the dynamism of travel agencies, due to the demand of air tickets, tourist packages, accommodation service, travel insurance and services of reservation due to anticipating of 2022 Holy Week, extension of limited capacity to 100% in locals, vaccination against COVID19 and greater confidence to traveler. At the same time, it increased tour operators due to progressive reactivation of domestic and receptive tourism.

During the month under study, professional, scientific and technical activities increased in 0.51% due to the performance of the essays and technical analysis services due to the demand of technical consultancy and inspection, analysis, physical and chemical essays, monitoring and metallurgic tests to industries and mining and certification of products nationwide. Likewise, it showed positive behavior the architecture and engineering activities due to progress of construction works, opening of new mining projects, works monitoring and interior designs.

Furthermore, it increased legal activities due to notarial services, new cases won, progress of court proceedings and legal advice in civil, criminal and work matters. Same behavior reported accounting activities before the increasing demand of auditing, accounting, tax and labor advice. Nevertheless, it decreased the activity of business management consultancy due to reduction of contracts and competition of business projects.

During March of the current year, administrative services and support activities increased in 0.42% supported by the development of rental and leasing activities to operative a machine, due to the execution of construction projects, mining works progress, agricultural and industrial works. Also increased the rental and leasing to operate light and heavy-duty vehicles for operating and recreation purposes.

Likewise, private security increased due to the demand of agents for physical security, protection of facilities, carriage of valuables and consultancy in loss prevention. On the other hand, it decreased the activities of temporary employment agencies, general cleaning of buildings and telephone exchanges.
