Restaurants activity increased 4.44% in November of 2025 and added four months of continuous positive results

During November of 2025, restaurants activity (food and beverage services) showed increase of 4.44%, compared to the same month of the last year, as a result of the positive evolution of restaurants group, beverage service and other activities of food service; meanwhile, catering foodservice decreased.


During the period January-November of 2025, this sector accumulated a growth of 2.02%, compared to the same period of 2024.


Restaurants group increased by 4.13%
During November of 2025, restaurants group registered a growth of 4.13% compared to the same month of 2024, associated to the greater demand in establishments of fast foods, pollerías, (grilled chicken restaurants), meats and grills, international food, sandwich restaurants, touristic restaurants, restaurants, Chifas (Chinese cooking), cevicherías (seafood restaurant), pizza restaurants and coffee restaurants, based in offers by mobile applications, increase of digital reservations, conditioning of spaces, varied menu, unlimited buffet and organization of live shows.


In addition, it contributed to this behavior the activities organized by the “Day of the Salchipapa”, the final of the “Libertadores Cup 2025”, “Black Friday”, “Cyber Wow” and the participation in gastronomic fairs such as “Feria Sanluisina de Cañete” and “Parriland 2025” in Lima, “Marqués Fest” in Tacna and “III Expo Feria Quillabamba” in Cusco; in addition, favoured the activity the release funds such as the AFP withdrawal of funds and the disbursement of the Compensation for Time of Service (CTS).


Beverage service increased by 11.80%
During the eleventh month of 2025, beverage service increased by 11.80% compared to November of 2024, explained by the good performance of the following activities: cafeterias, bar restaurants, bars, juice shops and discos, due to different factors such as combinations of artisanal beverages and snacks, thematic parties, varied music, advertising strategies, the extension of working hours, events with artists and large numbers of tourists.


Concessionaires and provision of meals for contractors increased by 1.87%
Other activities of food service registered a variation of 1.87%, during November of 2025, compared to the same month of 2024, explained by the dynamism of food concessionaires, by extension and acquisition of new contracts with agriculture, mining, manufacturing, energetic companies, clubs, prison establishments, clinics, hospitals, financials, universities and schools.


At the same time, provision of meals for contractors (food services to transportation companies) increased, based in the greater requirements of air and land transportation companies, as well as the increase of the frequency of domestic and international travel, according to the opening of new touristic destinations and the development of sport events.


Catering service decreased by 5.07%
During November of 2025, catering foodservice contracted by 5.07%, compared to November of 2024, due to lower contracts for preparation and distribution of food service in events, in the attention of breakfasts, executive launches and business events.
