INEI: More than 2 million of households were registered during the first week of the 2025 National Censuses

After a week of the start of the 2025 National Censuses: XIII of Population, VIII of Housing and IV of Indigenous Communities, the chief of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), Gaspar Morán Flores, informed that 2,145.680 households had already been registered across the country. In addition, it outstood the commitment and the dedication of the census officers that travel every corner of the national territory.
Morán Flores stressed the importance of the permanent accompaniment to the field personnel to ensure the correct development of their functions. He reminded the citizenship that the census officers are identified by their official uniform – purple vest and cap -, a credential with QR code and the digital tablet, tool that characterizes this statistical operative 100% digital.
He underlined that all the census officers had been duly trained and have clear guidelines to act before any risk situation, prioritizing their safety and respect towards the population.
Likewise, he stated that the field work is being monitoring in real time at national level, which guarantee the quality and reliability of the information, fundamental basis to the design of public policies in benefit of all Peruvians.
National Censuses in Santa Rosa de Loreto
Regarding to the district of Santa Rosa, in the region Loreto, the chief of the INEI pointed out that the census operative is normally developing. Crews of census officers already travel across urban and rural area for registering more than one thousand houses from this location.
In the urban area (Isla Santa Rosa – Amazonas) had been programmed 506 households, meanwhile that the rest areas are rural areas. To guarantee the total coverage in the less possible time, it will be sending more equipment’s to census officers in the next days.
