INEI announced the restart of the 2025 censuses in Mollepata, La Libertad

The chief of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), Gaspar Morán Flores, arrived to the city of Trujillo to closely know the circumstances in which was founded Aydaluz Mayté Sánchez, census officer reported as missed since Thursday 7th of August in the District of Mollepata, province of Santiago de Chuco, region La Libertad.
Morán Flores stressed that the main concern of the institution is that the census officer is in good overall health. He also stated, thereafter, it will be evaluating the labor situation with the INEI, since, at the moment of her disappearance, would have dropped out her functions, left in her room the clothing and the tablet with which she worked with.
Likewise, he also reaffirmed that the INEI offers permanent support to all the census officers in the exercising his or her functions, and announced that will have personnel in retirement from the National Police of Peru (PNP) to hat can act as a direct link with police stations at national level, strengthening security and coordination.
Restart of activities in Mollepata
The chief of the INEI gives special thanks to the crews of census officers of Mollepata that actively participated in the search of her colleague and announced that from today early hours, restarted the census activities in the district.
Also, expressed his gratitude towards all the institutions that, from the first moment, came together to support the search, outstanding the work coordinated with the National Police of Peru, the Ministry of Woman and Vulnerable Populations and other entities, to guarantee the safe development of the census across the country.
During the press conference developed in Trujillo, the chief of the INEI was accompanied by the Gral. PNP Guillermo Llerena, chief of the Police Region La Libertad; Glenn Aguilar, territorial coordinator of the program Warmi Ñan; Victor Lizarzaburu Solórzano, regional government representative and Juan Carlos Barrios Novoa, departmental director of La Libertad (INEI).
