INEI made a call to add to the National Crusade to locate the disappeared census officer in La Libertad

The Chief of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), Gaspar Morán Flores, arrived to the region La Libertad to coordinate the search of Aydaluz Mayté Sánchez, census officer disappeared in the district of Mollepata, province of Santiago de Chuco. He made a call to all the citizenship to join this great national crusade to find her.
“We deeply empathize with the family of Aydaluz Mayté and we ask the population of La Libertad and across the country to add to this effort. She is a committed employee, that already participated in similar activities in 2022 and 2024 in this same area and she was again in service to her community as census officer”, expressed the chief of the INEI.
Morán Flores stressed that the search operation takes place in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior, the National Police of Peru, The Ombudsman's Office and the Ministry of Women, has specialized equipment in rescue and support personnel to the family send from the central headquarters of the INEI.
“We will not rest until we find our colleague. The INEI together with all the institutions of the State, works to guarantee the security and offer the permanent support to each census officers”, emphasized.
The chief of the INEI urged the citizenship to collaborate providing any information that contribute to locate Aydaluz Mayté, communicating immediately with the competent authority.
Finally, he delivers a message to the census officers of the country, recognized the significance of their labor: "The task that you make is vital to the development of Peru. Each data that you collect build the basis of the decisions that impact the future of our nation. The census officers are not alone: the INEI will be always be present to support”, concluded.
Participated of the press conference of the PNP Colonel, Carlos Ato Morales, secretary of the Police Region La Libertad; Ysabel Botón Panta, Territorial Coordinator Chief of the Warmi Ñan program; María del Carmen Olórtegui, chief of the office of the Office of the Ombudsman, La Libertad and Víctor Lizarzaburu, representant of the Regional Government.
