INEI: More than one million 350 thousand houses registered across the country

After five days of initiated the 2025 National Censuses - XIII of Population, VIII of Housing and IV of Indigenous Communities—, a total of 1,351.234 houses had been registered across the national territory, informed the chief the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), Gaspar Morán Flores.
During his visit to the province of Chincha, in the department of Ica, Morán Flores overseeing work of the field personnel and stressed the active participation of the local population. He stressed that the permanent monitoring at national level is essential to guarantee the quality and reliability of the information, that will be used as a basis to the design and application of public policies.
The chief of the INEI expressed his support to the labor of the census officers and rejected any acts of violence against them. He stated that the personnel had been duly trained and has clear guidelines to face risk situations, always prioritizing the security and the respect in the interaction with the population.
Likewise, he reminded that all the census officers will be fully identify with vest, haversacks and purple cap, besides of a credential with the QR code that will allow the citizenship verify his identity through the institutional website. He added that they will have a tablet to register the information in real time, marking a milestone in the statistical history of the country, since for the first time the censuses will be 100% digital, guaranteeing the protection of the data under the Law of the Statistical Secret.
Recommendations for the population during 2025 National Censuses
Censuses will be held from August 4th until October 31st. The interview will take place at the door of the house and should attend a qualified informant that could provide the data of all member of the household. The census officers will wear their credential with QR code to be identified and all information collected will be confidential and protected by law.
