Services provided to companies grew 3.19% in May of 2025

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) informed that in May of 2025, the sector Services Provided to Companies registered an increase of 3.19% compared to the same month of the last year. Likewise, between January and May of the current year, this sector accumulated a growth of 3.87%.


Professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 2.56%
During May of 2025, professional, scientific and technical activities grew 2.56% compared with May of 2024. This result was explained by the positive evolution of the architecture and engineering activities and related services of technical advice, driven by the beginning of new projects of engineering, supervision of construction works, mining operations, construction and valuations.


In addition, it increased the essays and technical analysis, due to the demand of inspection service, analysis of industrial products, mining, metallurgical, foods and hydrobiological products.


The activities of business consulting were boosted due to the services related to consulting and advisory services in the management of business and implementation of loyalty programs and incentives.


Likewise, it strengthens the legal activities, before the greater number of business litigations and requests of advice to company formation, as well as notarial services linked to brokering in the sale of real state, succession and constitution of companies.


Accounting activities, bookkeeping, audits and tax advise increase due to the greater demand of accounting services, tax management, payroll processing, audits and preparation of financial states.


Administrative services and support activities grew 3.34%
In May of 2025, the activities of administrative services and support registered a growth of 3.34% compared to the same month of the last year. It outstood the dynamism of the private security, driven by the renovation of surveillance contracts, custody of goods and security consultancies.


Likewise, the activities of call centers increased, thanks to campaigns of tele sale, claims management, collections and customer loyalty. In the area of containers and packaging, were strengthen the services of thermos-sealed, packaged and packaging.


The rent and operative leasing of machinery, equipment and tangible goods grew to the greater demand of construction equipment, drilling for mining projects. Also, it increased the rent of automotive vehicles both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles, for the movement of persons, goods, materials and inputs.


On the other hand, agencies of temporary work travel and services of job placement registered a greater activity in outsourcing, provision of temporary personnel and sought of chief executives of senior management. Finally, in general cleaning of buildings was observed an increase of contracts for general cleaning of shopping centers, warehouses and industrial plants.


Travel agencies and tour operators grew 10.12%
In May of 2025, travel agencies and tour operators experienced a growth of 10.12% compared to the same month of the last year.


This result was associated to the domestic tourism boom, favored by the long holyday due to Labor’s Day and the greater attendance to religious festivities. It increased the offer of touristic packages, sale of air tickets, reservations, assistance to the traveler, mobilizations, tour circuits and guided tours.


Tour operators registered a greater demand of organized travels, group, full days, personalized attention and real-life experiences focused in adventure, culture, nature and gastronomy, promoted by festive events and traditional celebrations in different regions of the country.


Advertising and market research increased 2.93%
During May of 2025, advertising and market research grew 2.93% compared to the same month of the last year.


Contributed to this performance the advertising sector, driven the launching of strategic campaigns oriented to the promotion of trademarks and products, through digital and traditional media such as exterior advertising, activations, commercial broadcasters, radio and written press.


Likewise, there were particularly relevant the market research activities and public opinion surveys, with greater execution of studies about consumption habits, offer and demand analysis, trademark positioning, surveys about social, economic and politic subjects at national level.
