INEI received more than 127,000 job applications for being census officers

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) announced that up to the closing call for census officers of the 2025 National Censuses, were registered 127,122 job applications at national level, figure that far exceeds the initial goal of 30,000 persons called.

The chief of the INEI, Gaspar Morán Flores, is thankful for the great reception of the citizen and detailed that Lima Metropolitan area concentrated more than 22,000 job applicants. Likewise, he also stressed that the Madre de Dios region, that initially had a low number of registrations, it achieve to duplicate the quantity required. By natural region, there were received 56,330 job applications, in the coast, 52,634 in the highlands and 18,158 in the rainforest.

Morán announced that the stage of curricular evaluation, had started, through which they check, through the system, the documentation submitted by each job applicant. He reminded that for continue with the selection process, is indispensable to compliance with the requirements established in the call: National Identity Card (DNI), academic level or certificate of studies, RUC Taxpayer’s Register or certificate and affidavit.

During the first day of evaluation, frequent errors were detected in the submitted documents, such as:
• To submit the RUC Taxpayer’s Register or certificate without an update as of 2025.
• Attach the degree or studies certification with no seals of academic registration.
• Submit Truthfulness Sworn Statement with pages that are not being signed by the job applicant.
• Submit the Sworn Statement of not having impediments to contract with the State with no sign and with no digital fingerprint.

The chief of the INEI explained that once completed the curricular evaluation, the selected job applicants will be notified to start the training in the asynchronous mode.

In addition, he also stated the National Registration of Suppliers (RNP) will be required only in the stage of recruitment of those that approve all the phases of the process. Likewise, he also declared that the INEI had projected a total of 8,540 job applicants as reserve for the operation field.


Attention: false messages in social media
The INEI warns the citizenship about the circulation of false messages in social media that related to alleged actions coordinated with other institutions.

“TheINEI is not asking personal information in this stage of the census process. We reiterate that all official information must be only consulted through our institutional channels”, concluded Morán.
