INEI: More than 600,000 persons visited the call of employment for census officers

From the city of Piura, the chief of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), Gaspar Morán Flores, thanks the great reception of the national call for census officers, outstanding that there are already more than 650,000 persons that visited the web page, largely surpassing the expectations.
The chief of the INEI recalled that a similar situation occurred with the call for chiefs of section, that received more than 40,000 applications for 7,500 job vacancies.
Likewise, he also informed that as of the date there have been registered more than 10,00 job applicants at national level and in Piura exceed the 1,200 registrations, getting closer to 1,534 required for the mentioned region.
Morán reiterated that can apply young university or technical students to cover more than 30,000 available positions across the country. In the case of Piura, a total of 1,534 census officers is required.
The interested applicants can apply till July 4th through the official website of the 2025 National Censuses: https://unete.censos2025.com.pe/public/ and previous experience is not required.
The applicants must know how to use a Tablet and virtual platforms (such as Zoom, Google Meet or similar), as well as a computer or laptop with webcam and stable Internet connection. In addition, they must talk the native language of the area where they will rend the service and have availability to mobilize to different urban and rural areas of the country.
Service channels
Due to the high interest in the call, it has enabled a telephonic central (01) 743 5331 to answer questions during the following hours 8:30 a. m. to 6:30 p. m., from Monday to Sunday. In addition, the e-mail: censos2025@inei.gob.pe is available.
INEI and peasant communities of Piura come together for the 2025 National Censuses
In order to strength the coverage and the dissemination of the census operation, the INEI signed cooperation agreements with the peasant communities of Castilla and Amotape and Tamarindo Annex, of Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes N°007 of the Plots Sipiones Solana de Checa, Network of Afro-Peruvian Organizations– Yapatera and Organization Afro Juvenile Movement of Yapatera – Majady, assuring this way their active participation in the development of the census in the region.
The agreements were signed by the chief of the INEI, Gaspar Morán Flores, and the presidents of the peasant communities.
INEI warns about fake messages in social media
Before the circulation of misleading messages about alleged joint actions with other public institutions within the framework of the 2025 National Censuses, the chief of the INEI clarified that the entity is not asking personal information with census purposes in this moment.
He also recalled that the censuses will be carried out between August and October of 2025, and that the census personnel will be duly identified with purple vest and cup, in addition they will have a photo check with a QR code that will allow to verify their identity in the INEI’s website.
