INEI offers more than 30,000 job positions as census officers for three months

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) announced the call of more 30,000 temporary employments as census officers and invite technical and university young students to participate in the 2025 National Censuses: XIII of Population, VIII of Household and IV of Indigenous Communities, that will take place across the country.

The chief of the INEI, Gaspar Morán Flores, informed that the census officers will receive a remuneration of S/ 2,000 monthly and that the registrations will be opened since today June 25 till July 4 in the official website https://unete.censos2025.com.pe/public/and will not be necessary to have previous experience.

He also added that the applicants must have special knowledge in the use of tablets and virtual platforms (Zoom, Google Meet or similar), as well as with computer or laptop with web camera and stable internet. It is important to talk the original language of the zone where the service will be offered and have availability to travel to different urban and rural zones of the country.

In addition, he also stated that the INEI offers more than 30 thousand job positions for census officers. The selected will went through to a CV assessment, training and virtual evaluation before starting their labors.


More than 40,000 job applicants for chief of section
A total of 41,713 persons registered to take the position of the chief of the section, as part of the process of selection of field personnel for the 2025 National Censuses. From this group, 7,053 will be selected to led the census officers’ equipment across the country. In the next days, they will start their training together with supervisors, monitors, computers specialists, cartographers, trainers and administrative personnel.

The chief of the INEI outstood that this first call widely overcomes the expectations, since more than 40 thousand persons applied at national level. “This reflects the great commitment of the citizenship with the 2025 National Censuses”, he stressed.

Likewise, he made a call to those persons that do not achieve to have access to a job position during this stage: “To all those that, applied and had not been selected, we invite them to take advantage of this second chance. Apply us census officers and o be part of this important milestone that will mark the future of the country”, stated the chief of the INEI.


More than a million of persons visited the portal of calls
He also added that more than one million persons visited the portal of calls of the 2025 National Censuses. From these persons, 251,106 accessed the notification for chiefs of section.

Censuses start in August
2025 National Censuses will be performed between August and October, and will last three months and will be completely digital. The information of population and housing Will be collected through tablets and stored in real time.


Security for all
The INEI personnel will be duly identify: vest and purple cap, gray haversack and photo check with QR code that will allow to verify their identity. For security reasons, the census officers will not enter the households; the interview will be performed from the door with the household qualified informant. In addition, will have the support of the National Police and the district security personnel.
