Services provided to companies grew 3.42% in April 2025

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) informed that during April of 2025, the sector Services provided to companies registered a growth of 3.42% compared to the same month of the last year, driven by the positive performance of its four components. During the period accumulated from January to April of 2025, this sector reached a growth of 4.06% compared to the same period of 2024.
Professional, scientific and technical activities grew 2.75%
During the month under analysis, the professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 2.75% compared to the same month of the last year, due to the dynamism in the services of architecture, engineering and technical advice. This growth is related to the awarding of new projects, the development of mining operations, the re-start of paralyzed Works, the management of construction works, as well as the preparation of architecture drawings and designs.
On the other hand, services of essays and technical analysis, showed a greater volume of reception and processing of samples at national level.
In addition, it increased the activities of consultancy in business management, driven by the demand of management services, development of skills in Mipymes, organizational transformation and operative optimization.
Likewise, it was registered an increase in the judicial activities, due to the attention of judicial processes and cases won, legal consultancy in the areas of civil, criminal, corporative and constitutional services. Meanwhile, the accounting and auditing services, bookkeeping and consultancy in matters of taxes driven by the services of financial auditing, accounting and tax and labor consultancy.
Administrative and support services increased 3.76%
The INEI registered that the activities of administrative and support services grew by 3.76%, compared to the same month of the last year, mainly due to the increase of services of private security, as a consequence of the renovation of contracts for mining plants, commercial establishments and public entities, as well as the personal safe ward and the transportation of values towards banking and financial agencies.
In addition, it increased the rent and operative leasing of machineries, equipment and tangible goods, favored by the growing demand of heavy-duty machinery for construction, mining operation, movement of soil, light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles.
Agencies of temporary work and placement of job also showed greater dynamism, driven by the recruitment of specialized personnel for eventual works. Meanwhile, the telephone exchanges activated due to the beginning of telephone campaigns and customer services. Finally, general cleaning of buildings registered an increase of activity, due to the greater demand of services of complete cleaning, maintenance, environmental cleanliness and pest control.
Travel agencies and tour operators grew 10.94%
In April of 2025, travel agencies and tour operators registered a notable growth of 10.94%, compared to the same month of 2024, mainly driven by the performance of travel agencies, due to the greater flow of national and international tourists and the increase in the sale of tour packages, air tickets, accommodation, travel insurance and cruisers, both for national as well as business tourism.
This performance was also favored by the season of Holy Week, that motivated a greater demand by the side of travelers. Tour operators registered an increase in the personalized packages, organized travels for companies, group, of adventure, cultural, of nature and gastronomic tourism.
Advertising and market research increased by 2.66%
During April of 2025, advertising and market research grew 2.66%, compared to the same month of the last year, based mainly in the advertising area, with the execution of campaign oriented to the positioning of the trademark, development of creative content and implementation of innovative strategies in digital advertising in social media with multi-channeled campaigns exploiting the season and commercial dates and production of advertisings for radio and television.
On the other hand, activities of market research and public opinion surveys showed a greater dynamism due to the performance of marketing studies, virtual surveys and polls at local and regional level about social, economic and politic subjects.
