Services provided to companies grew 4.76% in March of 2025

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) informed that during March of 2025, the sector services provided to companies registered a growth of 4.76% compared to the same month of the last year. This result was explained by the positive behavior of its four components. Likewise, it stated that during the first three months of the year, the sector accumulated a growth of 4.29%, compared to the first quarter of 2024.

During March of 2025 the professional, scientific and technical activities increased by 3.68%, compared to the same month of the last year, driven by the dynamism of the architecture services, engineering services and technical advice, in response to new projects, for the payment of taxes, valuations by advances of works and consultancy specializing in architecture and geotechnics.

The same trend showed the services of essays and technical analysis, especially in inspection and chemical analysis of foods, beverages, products of personal care and pharmaceutical products. The consultancy activities in business management grew due to the greater demand of services in strategic management, risk management and crisis management.

When it comes to legal activities, the requirements of legal and preventive advice in civil, familiar, administrative, corporate, tax and labor matters. Likewise, the accounting activities expanded due to the greater demand of financial audit services, accounting record and tax planning.

During March of 2025, these activities grew 5.50% compared to the same month of the last year, driven by the increase in the rent and operational leasing of specialized machinery, required for mining, construction projects and infrastructure in transportation and housing.

Private security also grew, due to a greater demand of agents for the physical protection of facilities, custody and carriage of valuables. Likewise, the activities of telephone exchanges expanded by the increase of services such as telemarketing, support, customer retention and surveys for sales campaigns.

General cleaning of buildings showed a similar behavior, driven by the growing demand of specialized services in hospitals, shopping centers, airports and public entities. Likewise, the agencies of temporary employment grew due to the specialized personnel's search for temporary campaigns.


Travel agencies and tour operators grew 15.38%

During March of 2025, this sector grew 15.38% compared to March of 2024, due to the positive behavior showed by travel agencies, that offered a wide variety of domestic and international air tickets, cruise tickets, customized tour packages, guided tours, reservation of accommodation, travel insurance and travelers assistance services with new locations and programs.

On the other hand, tour operators also experienced a growth, driven by the offer of customized packages, group travels, group trips, trekking services and experiences focused in culture, gastronomy, nature and adventure.

The INEI reported that during March of 2025, the advertising and market research grew by 3.42% compared to the same month of the last year, explained by the growing advertising investment, with strategies focused in the brand positioning and consulting services in advertising for platforms of electronic commerce.

In addition, the activities of market research outstood, such as public opinion poll, analysis of competence and studies of the consumer behavior. It also carried out studies about political, economic and social conjuncture.
