INEI extends until May 23 the deadline for the municipalities to update the RENAMU 2025

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) informed that extended until May 23 of 2025 the deadline for the municipalities of the country complete the update of the National Registration of Municipalities (RENAMU) 2025, whether through the web form or in printed form.

This registration will collect information of the 196 provincial municipalities, 1,695 district municipalities and 3,008 municipalities of populated areas, in order to have an updated and reliable database about different aspects of the Mayor management.

The RENAMU will collect key information about the municipal work, such as citizen security, public services, environment, health, licenses, education, culture, local economic development, among other aspects. In addition, data about municipal personnel, equipment and computing resources will also be collected.

The access will be performed with the username and password send by the INEI through statement addressed to the Mayor.

It is recalled that the municipalities that do not fulfill with this obligation will be penalized according to Supreme Decree N.º 043-2001-PCM. Payment of the fine does not exempt of submit the required information.
