INEI and the district municipalities of Torres Causana and Yaguas in Loreto signed the support agreement to the 2025 National Censuses

In order to carry out joint actions that allow the total registration processes of their residents during the performance of the 2025 National Censuses: XIII of Population, VIII of Housing and IV of Indigenous Communities, the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) signed a support agreement and interinstitutional cooperation with the district municipalities of Torres Causana and Yaguas in Loreto.
The sign of this document seeks to ensure that the censuses were successfully fulfilled, collecting updated information about the reality of the country that serve as a tool to the design of public policies for the benefit of the population of Loreto districts.
Main commitments undertaken
The INEI undertakes to implement the national censuses in the districts of Torres Causana and Yaguas, as well as to convene, select and train the technical personnel for the performance of the census operation and to monitor the registration processes.
In addition, the definitive results of the 2025 National Censuses will be delivered to the municipalities at national, regional, province and district level, according to the census cartography. Likewise, it Will support the municipalities in the exploitation of statistic information for the development of projects in their locality.
By their side, the municipalities committed themselves to provide priority attention to the demarcation actions and territorial planning that the local authorities of the district level demand, for the registration processes and presentation of the census results with the official cartography.
Likewise, it will be complemented the census dissemination that INEI develops in order to raise the awareness of the local authorities, municipalities and general population about the importance of national censuses, achieving the active participation of all the actors afore-mentioned.
It is important to mention that the mayors will chair the district committee of cooperation and support to 2025 National Censuses and shall convene regional authorities and social organizations for the participation of the population in the registration processes.
